"My name in life has long been forgotton." Noinin said as she lay on a chaise "But my Lamia name in Noinin, it's gealic for daisy. Although I hate what I am I take the old traditions very seriously." She smiled "This is (Galuwen?)" she motioned to the other.
"I was sired over 200 years ago by Dréan, he stole my family, my life and my heart." she felt the old guile rise again in her throat.
The dust swirled in the eveing air as she remembered the past.
"Dréan came to our village when I was just turned 17. He was so handsome and the most elligible and pious man in the village. He woed me and my father gave him my hand a little after my 18th birthday. He was seldom seen in the village save for before sunrise and after sunset. I merly assumed he was busy in his home or desperatly lonely. When my mother was accused of witch craft, he consoled me and my family. I spoke for her defense but to no avail, there was a witness who need not be called who had seen my mother dancing in the forest, who had spotted the mark of the evil one upon her." Noinin smelt the burning wood mingled with the stench of flesh in the musky air of the room. Her eyes dotted with tears as she remembered.
"I ran home after they burned her to find my father and my brothers dead in the house, my father in the kitchen with my youngest brother Niell, the others lay in the barn along with our murdered animals. Dréan told me the mob had come to kill the last of the witchs young and that I must go with him to live. I was nieve and believed him, we were not far from London when he stopped the horse and led me to the depts of the woods beneath the shade of an ancient oak, he drank of my blood and poured his own vile poiseon down my dying throat, and thus I became what I am"
Her eyes returned from the past with a snap, and the light of the blazing fire from the hearth reflected in them. Her anger evident and her mind in turmoil she rose to the window and peered out at the waning moon, wihtout looking over her shoulder she asked the other. "What is your story?"

"First, may I say that I sympathize with your story. Sometimes I fear I come off as being a bit too radical but I am not so when it comes to another's feelings. I can relate to sorrow and pain but have tried to leave it all to the past. My family was never rich always poor. We lived quietly in a little rundown cottage in the backwoods of new england a little over a century ago. My mother died while giving birth to my youngest sister Elenore. My father of course worked hard to feed his family, there were seven of us children you see. Oh we had a fine vegetable garden and such but during the winter time, food could be hard to come by. Since father worked so hard, naturally I played mother to my brothers and sisters, I, being the eldest of the seven. Well, one night all of us children were abed when I awoke to a strange sound. I was surprised to see that none of my brothers or sisters had heard the deep, frightening sound of a man's laughter. I knew it wasn't father because he had found a side job gleaning a field some miles away and he was not to return that evening. I opened the front door of our small cottage and peeked out .....nothing. I walked outside when I thought I had seen a shadow. Now remember, there were no lights at all not even a candle. This shadow was blacker than the blackest night. I grabbed a tool leaning against the side of the house and went running off into the woods feeling I must protect the ones I loved the most in the world. Of course I found nothing so I began to make my way back to the house. I had lived in these woods all my life and I can swear I was headed in the right direction and yet I was lost. The trees seemed to change and move. Where there was supposed to be a natural spring there was none. Nothing was the same. After about an hour of trying to find my way, I began to cry. Then I felt a mysterious presence surrounding me and a dark figure came out of nowhere. There was something not right about this man, his eyes.... they were a demonic glowing red. I ran away from him not knowing where I was heading just trying to escape those eyes, but it was to no avail. I tripped over a stone and thought I had broken my ankle. I sat in that spot crying for salvation, but he came and took me. He said that he had wanted me for the longest time and that that night I would be his forever. I squirmed underneath the weight of him trying to push him off but I coulden't." Allura's eyes began to tear. I don't remember what happened after, except I woke just before dawn in excruciating pain from the sun beginning to rise over head. I looked for shelter and found it in my own home as I found I was laying only a few yards from it. I opened the door and stumbled in to find my brothers and sisters, even dear little Elenore dead. A feast for the master's followers, the same who gave me life eternal. I made my way into the night that night and never returned. But being what I am, I do enjoy killing those who deserve it. But children,no, I would never hurt a child." Allura looked down for a moment and then at Galuwen." So" she said quietly,"have you a tale to tell?...........

"Boo-who," She said scarcity. "Iam too sorry for the humans to want to kill them." Her tone was mocking the two. Then her voice change to serious. "We're vampires. Yes, we were human once. But we got over it. Some more then others." Walking towards the wall where the fire place was, she leaned up aginst it. Moving her arms up and down it, like a child making an angel in the snow. "Death is our art. Blood is our paint. And the night is our canvas."

"I never knew you had a poetic soul Galuwen" Noinin replied. "Yes your right we are creatures of the night and we can't help what we are, but that dosn't mean we have to kill, there are other ways"
she went to the fireplace and threw another log into the smokey embers.
"I've tried almost every animal I can, and they don't taste so bad, except maye possom cus thats kinda gross. There are blood bars, the mortal ones were vampiric wannabees hang out and drink each others blood mixed with ipicak. I know it sounds weird but it means you can buy the blood, and drink it rather than taking someones life."
"I don't know why it is Galuwen" she said softly looking at the other. "but when I first became a vampire, I ws like you, i killed to drink, I killed for sport, but then the dreams started. I could hear them, all the people I had killed they stood on the bank of a great river of blood and although their mouths never moved the air was filled with their screams of terror."
she looked determidly into the fire, careful not to meet the eyes of the others.

"I don't know about you two,"Allura commented," but I do relish draining the blood from slimy, no-good *bleep*s who are even more damned than we ourselves. Take our sire for instance, we can't drain him dry without dying ourselves, but we could stake his lights out!" Allura laughed at that. " I see that Noinin also harbors animocity for the master," the last word was said in complete and utter sarcasm. " Perhaps the two of us would be enough to seek out and destroy him. Unless.... that is, Galuwen would find it in her black heart to help us." And with that, she looked pointedly at Galuwen.

Galuwen was in shock as to what was said or what was asked of her. Her mind'e eye flashed her to the past.
To a time when she was human in England. Studing the supernatural. Working as a call girl and singer in a local pub. To her darkend bedroom. "Leave me alone." She called. "Oh but you are alone." He circled her. His eyes never leaving her. "Who knows what you’ve spoken to the darkness in the bitter watches of the night, when all your life seems to shrink. The walls of your bower closing in about you. A hutch to trammel some wild thing. So fair and so cold." He places his hand on her face. "Like a morning of pale spring still clinging to winter’s chill." She looked deep within his eyes. Pulling her closer in shadow. And then.......life ever ending. Her love for her sire had never burned out. She was his. She did not know that she was whispering out loud, "So fair and so cold." She was pulled quickly from her thoughts by a male voice. The same voice that she heard so long ago. "Like a morning of pale spring still clinging to winter’s chill."

Allura eyed Galuwen with curiosity. " Are you alright Galuwen? You look a bit, shall we say........... troubled. You can tell us".

Walking the dark streets, Drean saw his prey, a small homeless girl playing in an alley. "Would you like some candy or money he said with a grin as guided her out of the veiw of the street. She had to be twelve or thirteen, her blonde hair shimmered as he placed his cloak around her. "Be still now love, you won't have anymore worries in a moment." His face contorted and his true demonic nature showed. Sinking his fangs into her tender flesh he drak her without remorse. Her futile whimpers made him hold her tighter and smile as she stopped struggling. Walking out of the alley, her body fell and a tear fell from her life less eye. Walkin out of the alley, he smelled the air as a familiar scent grabbed his attention. Looking around he said in suprise "Hello ladies." With that, he headed towards the scent, in search of his women.

"Well enough of all this, if I were human I would have a headache by now" Allura said, thinking that their sire wasn't worth talking about much less thinking about. Although, Allura new that Drean would always be apart of her unless she did something about it. "Let us look at it this way" Allura said to the others, " we have found each other and have the future to look forward to. We should forget the past until we are forced to look it in its evil face agai.............." Allura stopped her words abruptly. " May God render me to dust for what I have done." Allura sat back down on one of the overstuffed chairs her face a mixture of both anger and worry. " You remember I told you I was new in town? Well, I think that I have just been followed and that Drean is close by. And I also think that Galuwen knew long before we did when she took her little trip down memory lane. Why didn't you tell us Galuwen? Now we have no time to concoct any sort of plan. Or....is that how you wanted it?

"Please, I think your little vamp radar is off. He left ten years ago for England. I begged for him to take me with him. I have yet to feel that same as I do when am with him. Passion is not enough of a word." She said with a smile.

"I felt it too but I have not fed tonight so I thought it was just the hunger" she said a worried frown growing to cover her delicate features.
She got up and covered the few paces to the window and peered out into the darkness as if expecting to see him striding down the street. Drawing the shades she returned to her seat beside the now roaring fire.

Drean walked the darkened streets amelling the air. He knew they were close but where? He knew Allura wasn't his biggest fan and she would stake him to look at him. Nonin was a different story, he knew she would femain loyal until the opportunity presented itself. However Galuwen on the other hand, was the one who would always be there for him. He knew she would always be loyal and would give her existance for him if it was needed. If they were together he could only imagine thier converstation. Suddenly the smell of fresh blood caught his nose and he looked and saw the police loading a body into a coroner's meat wagon. He knew . And he smiled as he caught their location. Dawn was coming soon however and he thought it best to see them tomarrow night. "Goodnight my lovlies," He said with a grin, "For tomarrow, daddies comin' home."

Allura began to feel the comman approach of lathargicness that always struck before the dawn and turned to Noinin. " You wouldn't happen to have a spare room in this great house where I could stay would you? We should get our rest to prepare for the long hard battle ahead of us."
