This story was written on a storyboard on the web site Breathe. www.geocities.com/ws_4ever/Please post all comments on the review board. Three writters are from this site. Phoenix=Phoenix AlfietheBlood= Capitan Jack Sunni= Linwelos Together in Battle Authors: Alfie the Bloody, Chelsea, Ice, Linaluv, Night Owl, Phoenix, Sunni Rating: PG-13 Summary: Suggestion from Phoenix, writing ourselves into the Buffy world. Spoiler: Not really. Note: *Thoughts* Note 2: Special thanks to Phoenix for coordinating this. ^^ Phoenix The grave yard was peaceful for once. Only a few lost souls dared to travel tonight. Stacey Newhouse walked along the rows after rows of headstones. Her thoughts were on her life. The years she lived as a vampire killing anyone who crossed her path, or didn't it didn't matter. She was a killer. But that was then, this was now. An unpleasant run in with a gypsy woman had given her, her soul back. She still wasn't sure if it was a gift or a curse. Stacey looked to be about twenty-four at least that was how old she was when she was turned. Her hair was red and seemed to glow as the moonlight shined on it. She was short about 5'3 not skinny, yet not fat, she always thought of herself as normal sized. This night she was looking for a somewhere to stay. She thought a crypt would reminded her of her darker days. Spotting a large crypt, Stacey opened the door. White candles lined the floor given contrast to the gray stonewalls. Beer bottles lined the floor, and Stacey thought she heard a t.v on in the background. There was a large hole in the center, with what looked to be a latter leading down. "Haven't you ever heard of knocking mate," Stacey heard a voice call. She quickly recognized the blond vampire coming up the ladder. "William the Bloody, if I had known this was your crypt. I'd have burned it down," Stacey replied. "Stacey. So how's my second favorite vamp with a soul. It's been a long time." "Not long enough," her voice was pure anger. "Are you still mad at me for that bet I made with that Urike demon." "You lost my money on a silly bet." "It wasn't silly." Spike thought a minute then said. "Um, it was the slayer she's always messing things up." "Still trying to blame Buffy for everything," Stacey said as she sat in the only chair in the crypt. "You've always followed her like a puppy." "I did not," Spike yelled. "And besides I've moved on. I have Willow now." "Willow? I knew you had a thing for red heads," Stacey replied with a cocky grin. "Bloody hell red, did you just come to bug me," Spike yelled. "No, just thought I'd introduce you to your new neighbor." "Are you sure I didn't slip through to hell," Spike replied as he watched Stacey leave. ^^Linaluv Lina arrived at the Espresso Pump, her first stop for her first kill in Sunnydale, she always enjoyed draining humans with caffeine in them. Stacey, her sire, had taught her that blood always tasted better with caffeine & fear flowing through it. Her sire. That's who she was here to see, word in the demon world was that she had a run in with gypsy's in Europe and was now here, or headed here. It had been about a century since she had seen her sire, and she had just found out about the soul. News sure did travel slow in the demon world now a days. ^^Phoenix After that uneasy meeting with Spike, Stacey entered the Pump for a hot chocolate and to relax. But that dream wasn't going to happen when suddenly she heard a scream coming from outside. Without a thought she quickly ran outside. Follow the sound she turned into an alley next to the shop. A woman struggled against her vampire attacker. Lina smelled the fear on her, it was intoxicating to her. Lina sank her fangs into the woman's neck just as Stacey came running. Without a look she knew who the vampire was. "Lina, put her down," Stacey yelled. "Well, well I guess it's true. You've gone soft," Lina throw the woman to the ground. Not wasting any time the woman ran back out the alley. "Word on the street is someone has gone and won back a soul." "Leave this place," Stacey ordered. Lina stepped toward her, her face marked that of a demon. "Why should I sire. I mean look at you. I used to look up to you. After all you taught me everything I know. Opened my eyes to the world around me. And now you’re nothing." "Please leave," Stacey said not letting her emotions take over. "And are you going to make me?" Lina asked. "No, but I am," a female voice called from behind her. Buffy stood holding her stake tightly in her hand. "This isn't over between us!" Lina yelled as she took off past Stacey disappearing into the darkness. "Thanks Buffy. I would have hated to kick her ass," Stacey said with a smile. ^^Ice Sarah stepped out of the cab and inspected the Magic Box. The Watcher Council had told her she was needed in Sunnydale to meet her slayer. She figured that the best place to get information would be to visit the resident watcher, Rupert Giles. She pushed open the door and entered the shop. Anya looked up to see a woman in her late twenties entering the shop. The woman was about 5'8", medium built, had brown hair highlighted with blonde streaks and blue eyes. "Can I help you find anything?" "Yes, I'm looking for Rupert Giles." The woman said with a Texan accent. "Oh, not a customer," Anya muttered, and then yelled loudly, "Giles, some woman is here to see you." Giles came out from the back, "Erh...Hello, I'm Rupert Giles." "And I'm Sarah, or you can call me Ice. I'm here to meet my slayer." ^^Linaluv Lina walked into her new lair furious, of course no one would inform her that a slayer resided in Sunnydale. She couldn't understand why she didn't sense the slayer as soon as she stepped foot in Sunnydale, Slayers smelt like a drunkard coming out of a bar. Passing through the hall she stopped at a mirror. She hadn't been able to see her reflection for so long. The last time she saw her reflection was the night she was sired. *What did I look like?* *I remember long black hair, always put up in a elegant design. Dark eyes that held the innocence of a child but the knowledge of an adult.* *I was a weakling then* Disgusted Lina set off for her new bedroom and a long hot bath. ^^ Night Owl "Pardon me?" Giles asked, looking at the Sarah woman like she was crazy. Sarah sighed loudly, "Do you need a hearing aid? I said I've come to meet my slayer. I'm the under-appreciated watcher sent by the council. Now, since we are in the same profession, I thought I could ask you for help in locating her." Giles looked confused, "Look, I don't know what the council told you, but I am Buffy's watcher." "Who's Buffy?" Sarah asked. "Buffy is my slayer." Sarah opened her bag and pulled out a folder. She tossed the file to Giles, "This is my slayer." Giles read the file slowly: Name: Christine Age: 19 Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: Hazel Height: 5'3" Weight: 115 Occupation: Student Giles closed the folder, "In every generation, there's --" "Blah, blah, blah, I know," Sarah said. "I was given the same speech, but that's not true. There's a new slayer whenever there's a time of need, and we are at that time now."

^^ Linaluv
After taking a long hot bath Lina started to settle in for the day, it was nearly dawn, and she couldn't do anything about the new slayer now as it is.
After changing her clothes, Lina walked over to her new bed and climbed in. The bed sheets were a awful color, not to mention very itchy *mental note: Get silk sheets* therefore it took Lina about 20 minutes to actually fall asleep.
Lina was said to have a quality that not many vampiress had, except for a insane crazy Dru, she had visions of sorts thorough her dreams, this is where most of her grand plans come from and the reason Spike was able to kill two slayers.
Lina herself had downed a slayer, back about a half a decade ago. She had long beautiful blond hair, a stubborn streak, and clumsy fighting skills. Ah, how Lina remembered those days, it was great fun.
^^Phoenix & Sunni
Stacey was awoken by the sound of a battle taking place outside. Quickly she grabbed her red and black jacket and slipped it over her black tank top and black jeans. Standing in the doorway to her newly acquired crypt, she saw a young woman with shoulder length blonde highlighted hair, wearing a black leather halter top with a pair of matching leather pants and stiletto heeled boots fighting with several demons.
Briefly holding the 41-inch katana sword in front of her face, she tilted her head to the left to dodge an oncoming punch and retaliated with a two-handed cross body swing connecting with the chest and stomach of one of the demons. Recoiling to a left-sided swing she rained a heavy blow upon the next demon's head, while quickly moving into another two-handed right-sided swing that connected brutally with one demon's face and neck. In the distance stood yet another demon and the two stared each other down momentarily before the demon began to charge towards the woman. Charging in return at the same time, she swung her sword over her right shoulder and following through with an upward motion strike at the final demon that caught it in the knees. Raising the sword up, she flipped the demon over it and sent it crashing to the ground with a thud finishing it off by piercing its heart by slamming the katana down through its chest.
"Look at it their, nice move. She's a tricky, this one. Hate to be on the receiving end of her sword. Wonder who she is?" Spike asked, coming out to see what the commotion was.
"A good friend," Stacey replied with a smile, turning her attention back to the battle before her.
From the shadows came a much larger demon than the previous four she'd killed. Unsheathing a dagger she had with her and doing a forward roll, she plunged the dagger into the demon's heavily muscled right thigh. A might growl of pain erupted from its throat as its hand gripped its injured leg while hobbling backwards after managing to land a punch in the blonde's face, knocking her to the ground and causing her nose to begin to bleed slightly.
"If she's such a friend, why aren't you out there helping her instead of watching her die?" Spike asked curiously.
"Please… Ashley can handle herself." Stacey said in reply as the battle continued on.
As the demon took three steps back, it emits a resounding roar of fury and pulls the curved dagger from its leg and launches it back at her. Having gotten up slowly, she quickly swung the katana and knocked the dagger from the air and sends it hurtling to the ground on her right side. The two charge at one another one more time, trading powerful blows back and forth. Quickly swinging across her right shoulder and downward, she severed the right arm of the demon at elbow level, and then thrust the katana into the lower part of its chest. Grasping the hilt of the sword, the demon gripped it with its left hand while pulling the sword towards it almost impaling itself on it while snarling menacingly in the blonde's face till their foreheads were almost touching.
Pulling back quickly and removing the sword from the demon she swung it hard from her right side at about shoulder level in a swift horizontal motion, severing the demon's head from its body and letting the decapitated body fall aimlessly to the ground in a heap.
Wiping the sword off on the grass to get rid of the blood that clung to the gleaming metal, she resheathed it and repeated the process for the dagger and took care of cleaning up her bloody nose before heading over to the audience she'd attracted during the fight.
"Ashley Sneed… I'd recognize that sword anywhere." Stacey said as Spike clapped as Ashley approached.
"All in a days work for a demon hunter. And it's Sunni now." She replied.
"Sorry, Sunni. I forgot. Ash--- Sunni it's been too long. Last time I saw you we were in West Virginia." Stacey said, giving her friend a hug.
"Those Urike demons never saw it coming. They thought they were going to tear the flesh of two helpless girls. You should have seen their faces when Stacey went all vamp on them." Sunni said with a laugh.
"And when Ashley's sword came down on them." Stacey commented.
"You birds make quite a pair. A vamp with a soul and a demon hunter." Spike said, just as Sunni realized who was standing next to her.
"Stacey? Who's Mr. Tall dark and blonde over here?" Sunni asked curiously.
"Sunni, Spike. Spike, Sunni." Stacey said without any feeling in her voice.
"A pleasure. Just make sure I never find myself on the point end of her temper. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a red head." Spike said walking behind Stacey and whispering into her ear, "Sorry, its not you." and then leaving.
"He's an old friend from my evil days that I wish I'd soon forget." Stacey said once he was gone.
"Stacey!" Sunni said quickly.
"What?" Stacey asked.
"I know you better than that. Friend?" she replied.
"Yes friend and lets just leave it at that. That vampire can go straight to hell for all I care." Stacey said in return as Sunni began to laugh.
A far off look came onto Stacey's face as she changed the subject to what had happened earlier.
"I ran into Lina today." She said quietly.
"Didn't you tell me she's the girl you sired?" Sunni asked.
"The same one, but seeing her today I don't really know." Stacey said in response.
"How so?" Sunni questioned.
"I dunno, maybe this whole thing of having a soul is blurring my vision. But I guess seeing the way she was, the way I used to be is hard to stomach. Just the thought of being like that compared to the way I am now is so different it's unfathomable. Much more different than just plain old night and day." Stacey said with a sigh.
"But you have to realize, not everyone can be able to have a soul and live a life where they are still a vampire remembering all the harm they have done in the past and not be a bloodthirsty savage." Sunni replied.
"I would be nice if there were more of a chance for people and vampires to coexist without fear. There are alternate ways to feed, granted not everyone would probably be interested in them but to give ourselves a chance to have a not so evil image, you know?" Stacey said back.
"There aren't that many gypsy's running around with soul-reviving curses out there either. But ultimately it is that person's choice on how they are going to be. If they are going to be the big evil vampire that has haunted peoples memory then there is nothing we can do to change that." Sunni commented.
"One can dream can't they?" Stacey asked.
"That they can." Sunni replied looking towards the star strewn sky above them.

^^Phoenix
Christine stood her ground, even though she'd only been a slayer for a couple of months she still knew how to handle herself. Although during her first patrol with her new watcher Sarah, they just happened upon a vampire nest in an old factory. Christine wondered, "Why couldn't we have found this place during the day?" as she looked at the group of vampires that surrounded them.
"Ok, first rule of being a slayer?" Sarah said as she was backing up.
"Don't die," Christine replied.
Launching herself at the closest vampire and drove a kick into his midsection. Unprepared for the blow, the vamp caught the kick squarely. Pain shot through him, paralyzing him for a moment. He flew backwards against the opposite wall which gave Christine enough time to withdraw a long, thin, tapered wooden stake from inside her jacket. Jabbing the stake into his chest and puncturing his heart, he exploded into a cloud of ash and dust. Another vampire came from behind her and Christine, leading with her stake came around and punctured its heart as well watching as he also turned into dust.
Smiling, Christine said, "Those dead guys, they’re so fragile."
Sarah held her own. Watchers are not normally in a fight, however Sarah had been trained heavily. She had already dusted two vampires on her own but there still were a lot coming for them. High above the factory, two figures watched the chaos below. Sunni and Stacey leaped over a railing, grabbing two chains that dangled from the ceiling and swung down. Taking up positions with the other two young women, the four of them stood ready for battle.
Stacey was in motion moving with all her vampire speed, she felt her features change, marking her with the face of a demon. Stacey watched the vampire to her left swing forward. Ducking to the side and reaching out with her left hand, sweeping the vampire's hand away and then spinning on her left foot to come around in a 180 degree turn to drive the knuckles of her clenched right fist against the vampire's temple. Bones cracked with the sound of a pistol shot. The vampire stumbled and dropped to one knee, catching himself on his hands before turning to dust at the hand of Stacey's stake.
Sunni stood ready when something moved behind her. She twisted and swung her sword above her head at an angle. The blade was silent as it descended and she followed through on the motion with her entire body, blonde hair flying, legs nearly crossed in a dance both elegant and bloody. The vampire that had attempted to fall upon her, unaware, flinched but had no time to withdraw before her sword cleaved his head from his shoulders with a crunch stolen from its last victim. Then it exploded in a cloud of dust.
Stacey turned just in time to see Christine coming at her with a stake. Grabbing her arm, holding the stake only inches from her heart.
"Hey! White flag here." Stacey said quickly, "I'm on your team."
"But you're a vampire," Christine replied.
"With… a… soul," Stacey replied, slowly letting go of her arm.
"Does your friend have a soul too?" Christine asked.
"No, she isn't even a vampire," Stacey said in return, "She only dresses like one."
Christine, Sarah, Stacey and Sunni stood side by side, each holding a stake. The remaining vampires seeing the group of tough women took off running, until the place was empty.
However, above on the catwalks a female vampire watched with great interest.
"Soon, sire. Very soon," Lina said as she ran a hand along the rusted railing.
^^Ice
Sarah stared at the two women, technically one vampire and one woman, standing across from them and her brain went into overdrive. "A vampire with a soul? There are only two recorded in the watcher's journal. I know you are not Angelus, so you are -"
"Stacey." The vampire answered.
Sarah nodded, "And your friend?"
"Sunni." The other woman answered, finally lowering her sword. "I chase after demons."
"Yeah, we are getting more and more of those everyday." Christine muttered under her breath.
"Chris!"
"Sorry, but Sunnydale seems to have more people fighting against demons than there are actually demons." Christine said. Having the whole destiny thing shoved down her throat was not Christine's idea of fun. Sure, the super power was great, but the not living pass twenty-five thing was kind of scary.
"She just met the Scooby Gang." Sarah explained.
"This is the Hellmouth, Christine. Demons are everywhere, all the time." Stacey said. "They come from everywhere, and it's a constant battle. Just be glad that you have help."
Christine sighed, "I'm sorry if I sounded ungrateful. It's just that being a slayer sucks."

^^Phoenix
Spike wrapped his arms around Willow as they left the Bronzes.
"I had a good time tonight, Spike," Willow replied.
"It only gets better pet," Spike said as he hugged Williow. Spike noticed something that caught his eye, "Or it could get worse."
^^Chelsea
Spike was no ordinary vampire. He was a vampire with a human girlfriend who interacted frequently with both humans and demons. He had a keen sense for danger, and that sense was overwhelming him at that moment.
Spike pulled Willow behind him and scanned the area quickly. They had walked out of the back entrance of the Bronze. It was an alleyway leading to the main street. He couldn’t see anything, but in the next millisecond, something scaled the wall and landed silently in front of them.
The first thing Spike noticed was that it wasn’t a demon. It was a human, a human girl to be exact. She was slight, about 5’5” and didn’t look like she weigh enough to give blood. But, she was dangerous. He took a step to the right, making sure that he was directly in front of Willow. He growled and the girl frowned. She spoke softly, “I’m not here for you, but get in my way, and I won’t hesitate to kill you also.”
Willow hissed, but couldn’t resist moving out from behind Spike to get a better look at the girl who had apparently wanted to kill her. It was a girl, dressed in what Willow recognized was ninja gear. Black top, black pants, black canvas tabbi shoes, a black utility belt around her waist housing all sorts of weapons and gadgets, a samurai sword was strapped on her back. She wasn’t wearing a hood or mask, her long brown hair was tied back in a ponytail, and brown eyes surveyed the couple in front of her with a puzzled frown.
“Go back inside, Willow.” Spike told her quietly.
“No. This concerns me, and I want to know what is going on.” Willow said stubbornly.
“Willow-“
The ninja girl cut him off, “She has the right to know why she’s being killed.”
Spike growled and charged off toward the girl. She quickly stepped aside, her right hand came up to block his punch, her left followed swiftly and hook punched him in the jar. Her left foot came off the ground and round kicked him in the head. The foot hadn’t even touched ground and she was already spinning, kicking him again with a spinning heel kick to the face. Spike faltered but did not fall. She was strong, but not superhuman strong. She was definitely not as strong as he was. Her advantage was that she was super quick. Spike couldn’t anticipate her moves, so he decided to just use his strength instead. He let her jab him in the face but managed to block her cross punch. He turned and elbowed her in the stomach and smiled in satisfaction as she gave an audible slight hiss. He picked her up and threw her against the wall. Expecting to see her crash and fall, Spike was surprised when she used that momentum and bounced off the wall instead. Her left foot kicked off the wall and she was soon flying through the air heading back toward Spike, baton in hand.
“Stop!” Willow yelled. “Look, if you are going to kill me, at least let me know why. What have I ever done to you?”
The girl landed and hit the automatic switch on the baton, extending it to a 20 inch steel weapon, which was pointing toward Spike. She turned to Willow and sighed, “Look, you’ve never done anything to me. I was hired to kill you, okay?”
“By whom?” Willow asked, puzzled.
Instead of answering, the girl turned to Spike, “What are you?”
“Vampire.”
The girl cussed, and then lowered her weapon. She turned to Willow, “And you a friend of the slayer’s?”
“Best friend, but—“
“And you are dating a vampire?”
“Yes, but—“
“I’m an assassin. The Watcher Council sent me to kill you. Look, I don’t normally ask questions, but if you are a friend of the slayer, my guess is the Council wasn’t happy that the slayer hadn’t killed him or some of his…let’s just say…demonic friends? They considered you the obstacle.” The girl said.
“An assassin?” Spike asked.
“Yeah, runs in the family.” The girl shrugged.
“So, how much am I worth?” Willow asked.
The girl chuckled, “two hundred grand.”
“Wow!” Willow said, impressed with the amount.
“Willow!” Spike wasn’t so impressed. It just meant that the ninja girl had two hundred thousand reasons to kill the little red head. “I’ll rip your head off before you can even touch her.”
“I hate figuring things out. It always messes with my head.” The girl gave Spike a dirty look, “It’s all your fault. I could have killed her and be gone to collect my money by now. But no, I have to go and figure out why the council wanted to kill her, which really isn’t a good enough reason for me.”
In a flash the girl was up the wall, she turned back, “You have nothing to worry from me, but there’ll probably be others. Good luck.”
“Wait, who are you?” Willow came forward.
The girl hesitated, “Chelsea,” and then she was gone.

"And you say this assassin was hired by the council?" Giles said as he took off his glasses.
"Ya, and a nasty short. I've seen her kind before. As long as there is money in it for them they don't care who they kill," Spike replied as her held Willow’s hand. She was still a little taken back by the event.
Willow, Spike, Xander, Anya, and Buffy was seated at a round table at the magic shop. Giles stood pacing back and fourth. "The council has been known to hire outside for, um wet work, as it where. But Willow? Why would they want her dead?
^^Night Owl
Willow leaned her head against Spike's shoulder, "I think it's because I'm friends with Buffy."
"What? You can't be serious," Buffy said.
Giles took off his glasses and said, "The council does frown on slayers with friends. Especially Willow, witches are not the council's favorite people."
"I don't think it has to do with me being a witch. Chelsea, that's the girl who tried to kill me, she said something about because of me, Buffy is not doing her job."
"I patrol every night." The blonde said angrily. "I kill all the nasties."
"Yes, but you let Spike live."
"Does that mean you want me to kill him now?" Buffy asked hopefully, pulling out her Mr. Pointy.
"Hey!" Spike said, instinctively moving closer to Willow.
"Buffy, put that away," Giles admonished his slayer. "Willow has a point. She's dating a vampire. Creatures that the council had sworn to kill. In their view, if she's in cohort with these creatures, then she deserves to die. And, once Willow is dead, she will no longer be mediating between the slayer and the demons."
"Fine, so I go find this bitch and kill her first." Buffy stood up and walked toward the weapon chest.
"Buffy, she's human. Besides, you might not be able to kill her." Willow said. "Look, she said I have nothing to fear from her, and I believe her."
Spike frowned, "Willow."
"She didn't even try, Spike. She could have. I bet there were a lot of stuffs hidden inside that belt of hers that she could have thrown at me. She never did."
"Willow, as long as she's in Sunnydale, you are in danger." Giles said.
"We are all danger, Giles." Willow smiled. "I have a more interesting question. Has anyone noticed that we are having a lot of visitors?"
Xander frowned, "No."
"Well, that watcher woman and her slayer." Anya counted out two fingers.
"Another souled vampire, her childe and a demon hunter," Spike said, "plus that assassin chit."
"There seems to be more demons roaming around lately." Buffy added.
"So, what does it mean?" Xander asked.
"Another apocalypse." Giles said quietly.
^^Phoenix
Suddenly the sound of a crash filled the room, so much so that it made Xander jump and Spike and Buffy leap to their feet ready for a fight.
Sunni tried to keep the large Qorqoth demon busy as Stacey went for an attack. Which ended in Sunni and Stacey being thrown through the window of the Magic Shop, as the demon got away.
Sunni moaned in pain as she looked up and saw all eyes were upon her and Stacey.
"I thought we had him," Stacey said, brushing the glass off her.
"Ya, we really showed him," Sunni replied. "Am I still in one piece?"
Giles stood with his arms folded, his mind thinking how much it would cost to repair.
Spike was the first to go over to the party crashers. Holding his hand out to help them up, Sunni grabbed his hand and lifted herself up. Spike went to reach for Stacey but she pulled back and stood on her own.
"Since when did you become Mr. Gentleman," Stacey looked at him coldly at him.
"Since when did you stop using doors," Spike replied with a grin. Then made his way back to Willow.
The bell to the door of the shop rang as Sarah and Christine entered.

"How was patrol?" Buffy asked.
Christine shrugged, "A little too easy. Mostly fledglings, and stupid ones at that."
Sarah glanced at her charge indulgently. "She's right though. It's like someone is out there creating an army of minions. You can almost smell the stench of evil overpowering everything else."
"Well, they must have been taking it easy on you, slayer, since we ran into a Qorqoth demon." Sunni said.
"Really? What's a Qorqoth demon? How big was it? Is that why there's a big hole in the front? Where's the body? How did you kill it?" Christine asked excitedly, hopping up to sit on top of the counter.
Sunni and Stacey shared a look, "Well, it's a demon, and it's big, but...no...it...got away."
Christine looked disappointed, but then the young girl shrugged philosophically, "Maybe next time, we'll help."
Spike snickered a bit before Willow smacked him in the arm, "Be nice."
"What? I don't have to be nice. I don't have a sodding soul like Peaches and the great-old-souled-one over there." Spike smirked. "I wasn't the one who let the Qqorqoth get away."
"Yeah, you're just a big bad vampire who let a human girl kicked your ass." Willow reminded him.
"Hey!"
"What did we miss?" Christine jumped off the counter and rushed over to sit by Willow. "Who kicked his ass?"
"Sod off!" Spike snarled.
"Stop it, Chris." Sarah said, not that she wasn't curious, but they did have bigger problems. End of the world kind of problems.
^^Phoenix
Lina's vision swirled in her head, like a movie projected on her mind. A vision of the past and a hint towards whats to come.
Dublin,Irland 1893
Stacey, or Anastacia, as she was known back then, walked along the stone streets. Twirling her long green dress as she moved. Licking her lips she could still taste the blood of her last meal.
Lina quickly followed. She'd had only been a vampire for three weeks now. Life had meaning again. Everything was new. "The night is still young sire. Lets go have some fun."
Stacey stopped and looked at her. Lina's long black hair was pulled up in an elegant design, the was most noble women of that period were styled. Her red and gold dress seemed to glow under the moonlight.
Stacey stared into her dark eyes. The eyes of a child with the hint of prue evil. "You are right. This night is far too young." Stacey begain to smell a favorable smell. "I smell fear."
"Oh, and we are not the cause of it what a heartache," Lina said as she moved closer to her sire.
"Let's go see."
In a dark alley a young couple were trapped. The young man was escorting the lady home when they were attack.
"The beast," the man called as he stood in front of the woman as a shield.
A tall woman stood in front of them. She had blond curly hair. And wore a red slip dress. Very modern for the time.
"Now I'll asked you nicely. Where is she!"
"Do whom do you mean," the young woman asked with a weak voice.
"I hate to play games. The slayer. the one who stopped me from going home!" Glory grabbed the man by the throat and lifted him of the ground. "Where is Buffy!"
"We want to play too." Lina called from behind. "Can't have all the fun."
Stacey finished, "It is just not fair."
Glory dropped the man to the ground and sharply turned around. "I am really not in the mood!"
Suddenly a man's voice came from the shadows, "ya but if the girls want to play. But they'll have to have my little Faith tag along." The Mayor stepped out with a small grin on his face.
A tall dark haired women wearing leather jumped down. The women lunged towards Stacey. But Stacey dodged Faith's attack.
With one clean rip, Stacey throw off her dress and was now dressed in her black jeans and tank top.
Faith and the Mayor moved closer to Glory. As Stacey stood across from them.
The sound of a loud crash filled the alley as Sunni dropped from an upper window. She quickly took her place beside Stacey. "For death or glory."
"For death or glory," Stacey replied.
Two figures began to form from the streets. Christine and her Watcher Sarah also stood along side Sunni and Stacey.
"Bored now," a female vampire called. Dressed in black and red leather she held the arm of the Master.
"My dear Willow. War will come soon enough," the Master vampire called.
"And when it does we'll be ready," Angelus replied. As he, Darla, William the Bloody, and Drusilla stood on Glory's side.
"And we we'll be ready to stop you," Buffy said. Buffy stood at the head of the group that had just entered the alley.
Spike looked at Buffy as he stood next to her. Ready to give his life for the cause. "You don't have a bleeden chance mate."
The group took their place next to Stacey. Behind Buffy and Spike were Willow, Xander, Anya, Giles, Angel, Oz, Cordelia, and Wesley.
The two sides, good and evil stood across fro each other, as a the shadow of an assassin watched from high above.
Stacey quickly turned towards Lina, who was standing in the back by herself. "So the war has started. What side are you on?"
Lina awoke from her vision. It took her a moment to regain herself before she got out of bed. Stacey's voice still echoed in her mind. "What side are you on?"
Everyone had decided that it would be best if they all went on separate patrols before turning in for the night. Buffy, Spike, and Willow were sent to patrol downtown. Sarah and Christine took off on their own. As Anya and Xander would keep a look out on their way home. Stacey and Sunni thought they should split up to cover more ground.
Stacey patrolled the park. Keeping all her vampire senses well in tuned. She began to pick up a familiar scent. A copper scent that she knew all to well. Blood. It was getting stronger as Stacey got closer to the source.
At the playground, sitting on the swings were two children. As she got closer she saw the straps that bond them to the swings. They were dead, but someone wanted it to seem as if they were alive.
Stacey tilted the little boys head to expose the two blood dripped holes on his neck. The young girl about eight years old was also attacked by a vampire.
But the way they were displayed, puzzled her. It was almost like who ever did this took great care in how it wanted its victims discovered.
The sight of the two dead children was almost too much for her to bear. Images, memories of those she'd killed came rushing back to her. For all fun she'd had with Sunni fighting the good fight. Even Sunni didn't really know who Stacey was. A monster.
She had to leave, get away from this horrid scene. Guilt began to wash over her as she walked out into the night heading back to the cemetery. Blood of the innocent still filled her mind. Blood that she spilt.
Stacey should have reported what she saw to Giles but her mind was too focus on her past.

The night wore on as Sunni patrolled silently along a tree-lined area. The moon overhead cast an eerie glow around her and nearby a small fountain reflected the moonlight as a carbon copy image of the sky above her shone on the water's surface. The sound of a branch breaking caught her attention and instinctively she reached to her back where the katana rested and gripped the ivory dragon head handle and withdrew the weapon silently. The rays of the moon made the sword almost glow in her hand, giving it a hue like that of white fire as a host of demons made their appearance.
Three charged at her initially as she stood ready to do battle. The first of the three that reached her tried to land a hit but Sunni quickly ducked and when she rose swung the katana in an upward motion from her left to her right shoulder, causing the demon to step back. With her left foot she kicked out and tripped the wounded demon and saw one of the others nearing where she stood. Holding the katana momentarily in her left hand she landed a heavy punch in one of the demon's faces and did a 360 degree spin with the katana held a shoulder level as the heads of the two demons rolled from their necks to the ground.
The third demon in the group that had charged at her tried to come around from behind her. Quickly spinning around to face her oncoming opponent she swung to the left in a two handed swing and then rolled the katana in the palm of her hand before jumping upwards. Bringing the sword down over her head and downwards as the blade severed the demons head almost in to two pieces. She caught sight of movement out of the corner of her eye and turned in the direction of more demons charging at her. Swinging from right to left and back to the right again she got the three to spread out and went to work at them. Twirling the katana once more in her palm, she ducked and spun quickly to avoid an oncoming punch and then landed a powerful upward stroke that brought the sword to rest at her left shoulder momentarily. Landing a solid kick to the stomach of one of the demons, it fell to the ground stunned while she thrust the katana through the chest of the other demon behind her. She strode towards the still fallen demon and placed her stiletto-heeled boot on the demon's chest as she rested the end of the blade along the right side of its neck and then in a swift motion slit its throat.
She looked to the large tree beside her as she saw the last of the demons charging at her. Seeing a sturdy branch within reach, she resheathed the katana and leapt up and grabbed a hold of the branch. Gathering enough momentum she began to swing back and forth like a pendulum as they neared where she was. Landing a forceful kick to the sternum of one of the demons she let go of the branch and half twisted in the air and withdrew the sword once more. Swinging left to right she spun around as the demon went to punch her and then brought the sword over her left shoulder and swept the blade downwards in a heavy blow. As she recoiled into a fighting stance she scanned the area for the other demon but did not see it. From behind the demon came up behind her and landed a forceful punch to her side at about kidney level. Going down on her left knee momentarily from the force of the blow she turned her head to look at the demon as it thought the tables had turned. Quickly standing up she swung upwards to her left shoulder and swung the blade swiftly in a horizontal motion as the gleaming metal severed the head of the demon. The one still not recovered from the kick from earlier came into view as she prepared to leave. Rolling the katana through her palm to where the blade was facing downwards she slammed it through the chest cavity of the demon. Seeing no other demons in the area she resheathed the sword and moved off into the night to continue her rounds.

At the local demon bar, Willy's Place, a lone drifter sat nursing his glass of whiskey. His name is J.R. and his poorly kept long black hair flowed to the middle of his black duster.
As swallowed his last shot, he looked around the room. Nothing but lowlifes and demons all looking to forget one thing or another, mostly their run-ins with the slayer. The whiskey helped him forget the past or at least ease the pain of his encounter. She was a vampire. But what stuck in his mind the most was she had a soul. That was two years ago and the pain of losing her still haunted his dreams. He didn't even know her name.
He was going to have to leave soon. He could feel the beast start to rise within him start to awaken. Throwing his money on the bar, he quickly made his exit.
A lot of things happened to him since he last saw her. He was captured by a military group called the initiative. He was tortured or "studied" as they called it and was tagged with a v-chip to disallow him to hurt people, and allow him to have more control when he changed. It was during Adam's take over when he escaped, and had been on the run ever since. He never thought he'd be back in Sunnydale.
He was there for one reason, kill the man who had double crossed him. He was there to take the head of Ethan Raine. He was hired by Raine to do a job. In return, Raine would use his power to finally cure him of his curse. But after the job was done Raine split.
He tracked Raine's scent to an old warehouse on Sunnydale's low rent district. Looking into the dirty window, he saw his doublecrosser working on what looked to be a potion of some sort. Anger swept through him like a plague as he plunged through the window. Raine turned and said " You know the door was unlocked, mate." " Ethan Raine" said he said. "You ran off and left me for dead, but you didn't count on one thing." " What's that?" Raine said." That I would find you." The look of fear came over Raine's face as he began to back away from J.R.
"And now that I have, your ass is mine!" Raine turned to run as J.R.'s body started to shift and contort hair began to sprout and within seconds, the werewolf that was trapped in his body was set free. As Raine ran for the door he was slammed through it by J.R.. Rained turned over and started to beg and crawl like the sniveling little toe rag he is. "PLEASE, DON'T" he shouted, but J.R. kept walking toward him claws out ready to tear out Raine's throat.
As J.R. was about to lunge at Raine's throat, he picked up on something he didn't bargain for. Her scent. He turned to see her and changed back instantly. Raine made his escape.

A red headed women dressed in all black stood in front of him with her back turned. Without seeing her face he knew it was her.
Leaning into her ear he whispered, "On a hot summer night Would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red rose."
Without turning around she replied, "Would he offer me his mouth?"
"Yes," J.R. whispered.
"Would he offer me his hunger?"
"Yes."
"Again would he offer me his hunger?"
"Yes."
"And would he starve without me?"
"Yes."
"And does he love me?" Her voice was week but yet she still did not turn around.
"Yes," he replied.
"Yes."
"On a hot summer night would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red rose?" J.r lightly touched her hair.
With a deep breath she replied, "Yes."
"I bet you say that to all the boys," J.r's face was that of which he had never felt in a long time, he was smiling.
Stacey quickly turned, looking him in the eyes. "I thought you were dead."
"I can not be killed so easy. You know that," J.r replied. "You still have not graced me with your name."
"It is just a name. It means nothing to me anymore. And you...." Stacey stopped herself from saying the rest.
"I have changed. More than you know."
"Really. One cannot change from who they are inside. You are a werewolf and I am a vampire. Nothing will ever change that."
"Things can change. People can change," J.r moved closer to her.
"Once a killer. No amount of good would ever change that!" Stacey yelled as she took off running. Leaping over the alley wall and out of sight.

^^Chelsea
“I don’t like leaving you by yourself, especially when there’s a homicidal maniac out on the street looking for your blood.” Spike said, leaning against the doorframe of the Rosenberg’s front door. Willow pulled out her keys and inserted it into the lock. It clicked softly and she pushed it open, turning with her back to the door, she faced the vampire and a frown appeared, “I am not useless, you know.” Spike sighed, pushing his hands deeper into his pockets, “That was not what I meant. I just…don’t want you to be hurt.” Willow smiled, “I know, but I can take care of myself. Go home, and I’ll see you tomorrow.” Spike watched as Willow walked inside and closed the door. The lights came on, and with another long sigh, Spike finally left reluctantly, making his way back to the crypt. As soon as Spike had turned the corner, a dark figure dropped from the branches of a tall tree onto the balcony. The moonlight glimmered, showering the intruder in a bright beam of light; it was Chelsea, the assassin. Chelsea looked into the room and saw that it was empty. She pulled out a slim case and inserted a small metal bar into the lock. After twisting it around a couple of times, she grinned and felt the lock gave; she quietly pushed the door open without make a sound. She walked into the room and frowned, wondering where the red head had gone. She walked silently out of the room and that’s when she heard the sound of water running. Deciding that Willow must be taking a shower, she walked back into the witch’s bedroom. Willow came out ten minutes later; she was wearing a tank top and boxers, combing her fingers through her slightly wet hair. She stopped; even her fingers stopped midway through the combing as she stared at the girl who had made herself at home. The same girl who had attacked her and Spike was now sitting in front of her computer, apparently reading some emails. Willow briefly debated about hurting her a little with her magic, but then decided against it, instead she stayed at the door, “What are you doing?” Chelsea looked up, “Checking some correspondences between the council members.” She looked at what Willow was wearing, “Get dressed.” “What?” “Look, you are not safe staying here. Get dressed and let’s get going.” Willow rolled her eyes, “And I would be safe with you? Besides, I have a protection spell up in this house. No one can get in.” “Does your protection spell apply to humans? No? Right, I’m taking you to Buffy’s. You should be safe with her.” Chelsea said as she scanned the screen and clicked on another email. “What are you doing?” “I’m searching the council’s email archive. I want to see who they are sending to come after you.” “You can do that?” Willow asked, slightly surprised. “What? You think you are the only hacker in the western hemisphere?” “Why?” Willow asked, although she had automatically moved toward her closet, pulling out a pair of jeans and a shirt. “The council doesn’t just give up, you know. They had just called in someone else to do the job. You have to leave now.” Chelsea said. “No, I mean why are you helping me. I thought…I thought…aren’t you an assassin? You know, two hundred grand? Do you even file that on your income tax?” Willow stopped. “I’m getting off-topic here, aren’t I?” She quickly pulled on her jeans over her boxers and the shirt over her tank top. Chelsea shrugged, logging off the computer, “Usually I don’t ask. Killing is my job; it’s what I get paid to do. However, I won’t take the life of someone who is destined to save the world.” “What do you mean?” Willow frowned as she sat down to put on her socks and shoes. “I thought you were research girl. Haven’t you ever done any research on yourself?” Chelsea sighed, “Apocalypse, in the new millennium, the slayer is faced with another apocalypse, she has the help of many, including vampires and demon hunters and werewolves and more slayers and watchers and a whole bunch of other people/demons, but this time the key isn’t the slayer, it’s her best friend with the help of her demon boyfriend. Once I realized your boyfriend is a vampire, everything just sort of clicked into place.” Chelsea looked at the confused red head, “You know nothing about this, do you?” “No.” Willow mumbled, wondering why Giles never had them research this before. “Well, lucky for you, it means you can’t die, at least not yet.” Chelsea frowned and stepped closer to the balcony. She looked outside just in time to see a van pulled up in front of the Rosenberg’s. “They’re here.” Willow frowned, peeking out the balcony glass door. “How do you know?” “Anyone else in Sunnydale drives around with the headlights off?” Chelsea said and started to pull out a black-pronged collapsible steel grappling hook attached to heavy-duty black nylon rope. She handed Willow half a dozen 4 pointed stars, “Know how to use them?” Willow shook her head. Chelsea took one back and held it in one hand, “You see anyone coming at you, just throw it like this.” She flicked her wrist but did not let go of the weapon. “This is the Scorpion, one type of throwing stars. What you want to do is make sure you hit them with one of the 4 points. Go for the throat if you want to kill them.” Then she pulled out a dagger and handed that to the red head, “If they come close, use it. Just as a warning, you don’t want them close.” Chelsea walked back over to the balcony and slid opened the door, “Come on, we’re going out this way.” She grabbed the hook by the base and threw it; it sailed across the street and embedded itself into the front lawn of the home across the street from the Rosenberg’s. Chelsea tied the other end of the rope onto the balcony rail; it looked like a slanted high wire. “Just grab the rope and slide down. Hold on tight and jump off when you are about to touch ground. I’m right behind you.” They made it across just as the two men sent by council started to walk up the stairs. Chelsea pulled Willow over to a Suzuki motorcycle parked round the corner, “Let’s go.”

Sarah and Christine were patrolling in the Shady Hill cemetery. Christine skipped along; she was in a good mood. She had just single-handedly dusted 5 vamps when they patrolled Restfield earlier. This time her watcher did not interfere. She just leaned on one of the headstones and watched as Christine went to work. “Pretty proud of yourself, aren’t you?” Sarah asked. Christine smiled, giving her watcher an impish grin. “It’s kind of cool being a slayer.” Sarah frowned. The superpower thing was addictive to all new slayers. Christine was a pretty normal kid. She liked to hang out at the mall and go to parties. It didn’t seem fair that her life now revolve around slaying and apocalypses. Sarah was as different from Rupert Giles as night and day. She wasn’t a conventional watcher; she did not surround herself with old, dusty books. She trained just as hard as Christine and can knock out the vamps just like a slayer. And, she was compassionate. She did not regard Christine as some superpower freak. Yes, she understood that Christine had a sacred duty, but she understood that to be an effective slayer, Christine needed to have a life outside of slaying. “You do know that you were given the power for a reason, right?” “Sure, to kill all baddies, make the world a safer place for kids and puppies, right?” “Christine, this is serious. Something big is going to happen, something that require more of you than just to dust a few fledglings. Look, Sunnydale is—“ Sarah stopped as Christine had apparently stopped listening. She turned just to see the slayer engaged in a fight against another vampire. Sarah sighed, watching her slayer fight. Christine was a good slayer; she took her responsibility seriously. Unlike Buffy, she wore suitable clothing, jeans and tennis shoes; she didn’t taunt her victims the way Buffy did. She went right to work and dusted the vamp with very little effort. After watching the vampire exploded into dust, Christine tucked her stake back into the waistband of her jeans. “I’m sorry, got a vampire to take care of.” Christine smiled. “I saw that. What was I saying, oh yeah, Sunnydale is a haven for demons and evil. We know evil is coming our way, the catch is how effective are we at defending.” Christine frowned, “Why do we have to defend? Why can’t we be the offense?”

Word was being passed around of a gathering at the Bronze the following evening after patrol. With the pace things had been so far it didn't leave much time for partying or gatherings so any chance that came up was taken advantage of. Sarah had crossed paths with Sunni and filled her in on the plans that were in place. For the rest of her rounds that night if she saw anyone in the circle that was patrolling she passed the word along so that everyone could be there for a little relaxation and fun. After all, a few shots of Sweet Remorse were awfully tempting.

Sunni sat with her drink eyeing the room when Christine and Sarah joined her at her table. "You haven't seen Stacey have you? She has been missing since last nights patrols," Sunni asked. "No. Isn't she joined to the hip with you," Christine said as she danced in place to the music. "I have yet to see the two of you apart." "I know. I am worried," Sunni took a drink and looked around the room. She thought she had spotted someone from her past in the corner, but when she looked again he was gone. "This music is wild!" Christine shouted. "Lets dance!" "Am sure she is fine. From what I've seen she can handle herself," Sarah said as she placed a hand on Sunni's shoulder. "As of now I think Chris has the right idea. We could all use some fun." Christine lead Sarah to the dance floor. After Sunni finished her drink, she too made her way to the dance floor. High above the dance floor, Stacey watched her friends from the balcony. Her mind still confused about her life, her soul. "No matter how hard you try. You always end up in the dark with me," a man's voice said. His British accent rang in Stacey's ears. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a tall man with shaggy brown hair and wearing period clothing from the eighteen-hunderds. But his face, his face was unmistakable. The man moved closer to her, his mouth only mere inches away from her ear. "What would they think of you if they found out, all the things you've done. If they knew who you really were," the man whispered into her. "Look at them. That's not you're would. You belong in the shadows with me." Stacey couldn't take her eyes off Sunni, Christine, and Sarah as they danced. "Look at your friends and tell me you don't love getting away with it. Right under their noses." Stacey begain to feel the cold touch of this hand running up and down her arm, "Don't," Stacey whispered. "You know I still remember that day. The day I took your life. The day I sired you," he slowly slipped a hand around her waist. "The way you smelled, the way your blood tasted." "William," Stacey said as she quickly turned around. But all Stacey found herself looking at was the back of the dark lit balcony.

Back at Willy's, J.R. sat with his back towards the bar drowning his sorrows in a glass of hard Kentucky burboun. All he could think about was her. What is her name? Just to know it would bring him a little peace. He then turned his attention to Ethan Rayne. He got away this time, but vengeance would soon be his. J.R. got up to leave, and as he reached the door, he bumped into a bleached blond man who was coming in. "Excuse me, mate" the blond man said as he was walking past J.R. " Don't mention it, blondy." J.R. said as he left the bar. Stopping dead in his tracks, J.R. caught her scent. It was faint, but there was no mistake, it was her. He wondered why her scent would be on this blond man. Turning around, he headed back towards Willy's. As he walked in, he followed his nose over to where Spike was sitting. Consumed by her scent, he didn't realize he was sniffing Spike's coat until he heard Spike say, "What in the bloody hell are you doing?" "Oh sorry, it's not you, it's her." J.R. said. "Who?" Spike asked. "I don't know. all I do know is she is a vampire and she has consumed my every waking thought for the last two years." "Ah,huh" Spike muttered sarcastically, "Maybe you try the personals, mate." "No, you know her, don't you?" J.R. asked. ''Maybe, depends on who's asking." Spike replied smugly. "I'll pay." J.R. said. "Money? I LIKE money." Spike said. "All right, chap here’s what you do, if I were you, I'd check the local cemetery." Spike told him. "Thanks, blondy." J.R. said as he threw some cash on the table, and turned to go. “Oh, and by the way, the name's Spike." Spike yelled as J.R. was leaving, he looked back and said "Who cares?"

The music rocked within the halls of the Bronze nonstop. Sitting at a table in one of the least crowded areas of the club, she thought back to the moment of seeing someone she knew all to well. The others that had met her there had long since left, but there was still a pretty good amount of people upon the dance floor. After finishing up her (drink name), she picked up her sword that was concealed within her coat and left the building with the sense that someone was following her. On her way home she decided to stop by the cemetery just to make sure that Stacey was ok after having not seen her since patrols. As she walked upon the grass beneath the light of the moon she heard a voice say coldly, "Stop right there demon!" Stopping midstride at the sound of the man's voice when she realized she knew she'd heard it before a long time ago. Without turning around she asked as she removed the katana from her coat, "Is that what you think I am?" Looking her over before replying the man said, "Judging by the outfit, yes." Rolling her eyes, Sunni replied, "Hiraetha David… Le gar raika." {Sorry David… You've got the wrong person.} Silence followed the statement as he wondered how this woman knew his name and he said back in a cautious manner, "Sut o le ista tanya tuule?" {How do you know that name?} "Ten' im varyae telle ner luumer im glak na enyala…." {Because I saved your ass more times than I care to remember.} Sunni replied, as she turned around to face the gray-eyed ranger that stood behind her. When she didn't get a response to her statement she asked, "Last time we met you were in New York, right?" "Yep," he replied as he moved closer towards the leather clad woman; "You still using that sword of yours?" Holding the katana up in the moonlight she replied, "That as well as a few other interesting things. You?" "Guns… lots of guns…" he said in response. As they walked through the trees and spoke of old times the topic of conversation came up of some of the classic memories they had of some of the demon fights back in New York. When Sunni commented, "You do know that around Sunnydale, the demon's are of a different caliber than the ones you're used to back home." J.R walked past the endless rows of headstones in the cemetery, following Spike's advice. A breeze blew and he caught the whiff of her scent. It was faint but unmistakable none the less. As he neared where it was trailing from he saw two people in the moonlight. Peering from the shadows at the man and the woman before him he could still pick up her scent but she was no where to be seen. Deciding to play it safe, he stayed hidden for the time being and watched silently to see what would happen. Sunni halted suddenly and said to David quietly, "We aren't alone." her eyes never scanning the shadows around them. "What is it?" David asked as he stood slightly behind her, his gray eyes going over the terrain around them, trying to locate who else was among them. "I don't know, but I have a feeling we are about to find out." She replied, making the katana ready for battle. David withdrew two semiautomatic guns and had extra ammo within reach incase it was needed for whatever might happen. The soft sound of a branch breaking caught her ears and not taking her eyes off the direction the sound came from said over her shoulder, "Vanwa en." {Over there.} J.R watched as the two locked on to where he was. One of them knew her for they bore her scent. Seeing their weapons he felt the beast within stirring. The encounter with Ethan Raine still fresh in his mind as he stayed in his human form. Finally stepping out of the shadows and into the moonlight he says demandingly, "Where is she!" "Where is who?" Sunni replied to the man before her with long dark hair. "You bear her scent! I smell it in the air!" he replied shortly to the pair before him. "Ro nauro," she said to David, never taking her eyes off the lycan before her. {He's a werewolf.} "It seems you and I are looking for the same person. She and I are friends and it has been some time since I have seen her." She responded to the werewolf in front of her as she put away her sword. The three cautiously approached on neutral terms as they learned each other's names in a brief introduction. "I'm Sunni and the man behind me is David. We both are demon hunters, although he prefers to be known as a ranger." The blonde woman said as she looked over her shoulder towards David standing slightly at her back. "I'm J.R Stacey and I have known each other for quite some time." The lycan said in return. In a sudden change of events, David grasped Sunni forcefully by the upper arm and turned her around to face him as he said rough tone, "Im ún a mi en' nauro!" {I will not be in the company of a werewolf!} Wrenching her arm from his grasp, she knocked him to the grass and drew out the katana and rested it against his throat before replying bitterly, "San lemb!" {Then leave!} drawing in a narrow breath she hissed in a hostile manner, "Nator il prestar telwa lye omente!" {Things have not changed since last we met!} After several tense moments passed, Sunni withdrew the sword from alongside the rangers neck and strode past where J.R stood without even as much as a backwards glance to the man on the ground

J.R turned back towards Sunni and said, "Who died and made him king?"
"He's always been that way… Love him one minute and hate him the next." Sunni replied after drawing in a hissing breath at his question.
"Back to our original topic sweetie, where is she…"
"Who wants to know?" she asked.
"Look girlie. I don't want to play games here." He said, "Now tell me where is she!"
Gripping the handle of her sword she stepped back and looked directly into his eyes and replied, "You'll find out soon enough."

Voices haunted Stacey's mind as she stumbled out of the Bronze. The pain in her head was unbearable as she made her way to the corner of shadows in the alley. Her legs gave way as she fell to the ground. She was loosing control of herself, her life.
Looking up she spotted two teenage boys on their way home. Something inside her snapped, releasing something that had stayed hidden for centuries.
"Dude, that was lame," one boy said as they walked by the alley, "We could find a better party than that!"
"Let's get out of here…" the teen screamed as he was pulled into the shadows by an unseen force.
"Will?" the other called out, "Will?"
Only a moment had passed when he too was pulled into darkness as Stacey dug her fangs into his neck. After he was completely drained, she threw him onto the ground next to his dead friend. Stacey's mouth was covered in the boy's blood as she leaned up against the wall. With a grin she began to laugh, until she heard a familiar voice.
"I knew you'd come back to me," Lina said as she stood next to William and Angelus.
"We're a family again!" Drusilla replied as she twirled around next to Darla.
Stacey's yellow eyes stared coldly as she said, "And together the six of us will bring this town to its knees."
Suddenly she began to feel a faint scent of someone who had been in the alley not more than an hour ago and said to those around her, "But first I have a little fun planned for myself. Not to feed, but his death would be much more enjoyable…"

J.R and Sunni reached the crypt of the one they were both looking for. Pushing open the door and walking in, the hinges groaned loud enough to wake the dead around them. Before them lay the shambles of what used to be a room. Maneuvering through the debris upon the ground it appeared as if an all out brawl had taken place.
"Just how exactly do you know her?" Sunni asked J.R as they looked at the destruction around them.
"A long time ago I knew a red-headed vampire but never knew her name. Tonight however at the bar I was at I overheard talk of a vampire matching her description by the name of Stacey so I am assuming that the two are one in the same..." J.R answered in return.
Hearing the groaning of hinges, Spike poked his head out of his crypt to see the door to the crypt next to his wide open. Casually walking over to the open door to observe the destruction about the two inside he couldn't help but say, "Do the words rest in peace mean anything to you two?"
Just then a piercing scream met her ears. All the anger that had been coursing through her veins ceased as she turned her head towards the sound. Looking at the two in the demolished room with her she raced from where she stood in the direction of the cries.

David thought he heard something towards one of the larger crypts. Walking slowly, his hands kept close to his guns he moved towards them. Suddenly he spotted a female form in the shadows.
"Stacey?" he called.
"It's me," she replied stepping out from the shadows.
Stacey looked different since the last time he'd seen her. She wore a sleeveless leather cat suit with a large black cape. Her hair was redder and David could have sworn he saw blood dripping from her mouth.
"Well, well David Shaw." Stacey's cold voice said, sending chills down his spine, "Last time I saw you, you were pretending to be Sunni's demon hunting side-kick. You too so much in love but too stupid to tell the other."
Stacey moved closer as a puzzled look came across David's face when the vampire before him continued to speak, "What would she do when she finds out her beloved David is dead. Killed by her best friend?"
"Stacey!" David yelled as she charged towards him with a right punch. He managed to block it but eventually lost the fight due to her vampire strength.
Feeling her features change into that of a demon as she threw him onto his back. She got onto all fours and slowly moved over him as if she were a cat stalking its prey.
"Le wanwa lîn cuil! Le aen… Le aen agaryulnaer!" {You have lost your soul! You're… You're a bloodsucker!} David replied angrily.
"Bite your tongue!" Stacey replied as she tilted his head to the side to expose his throat.
"This one's for you Sunni!" Stacey said before digging her fangs into his throat and began to drink as David screamed in pain.

^^Sunni
As she came to where several large crypts were, what caught her eyes pushed her over the edge, literally. It took everything she had not to go in flying in a fit of rage. As quietly as she could she moved to where she stood before her friend as the end of the katana rested just inches from the vampire's face as the yellow eyes looked up from her latest catch and said curiously, "What do you do, sleep with that thing?"
"Ya I aika lle noa le aen umien!" {What the hell do you think you are doing!} she hissed, looking at the creature who was once her best friend.
"Well well, look who came to the rescue," the vampire mocked rising to her full height and leaving David lying on the ground.
J.R and Spike finally reached where all hell was getting ready to break loose when they saw what was going on.
"Oh great, now she's done it…" J.R said as he and Spike observed the confrontation.
"Now here is the match of the century… Vampire vs. enraged blonde." Spike replied as he leaned against one of the nearby crypts to watch the fight that was about ready to ensue.
J.R watched what was about ready to unfold and was getting ready to intervene when Spike said quickly, "Come on now… Don't mess up the catfight! It should be especially good since those two were once friends." Taking a reluctant step back he moved as the knock down drag out brawl began.
The two women walked in a slow circle eyeing the other as they moved when Stacey retorted to the blonde, "You dare challenge me?"
"I dare everything…" she replied in an undaunted manner to her opponent.
The vampire charged and Sunni swung her sword horizontally towards Stacey's abdomen. However she jumped back before the blade cut across her stomach. Taking her left hand, Stacey gripped the demon hunter's shoulder and moved behind her, wrapping her right arm around the woman's neck to where her elbow was near the middle of her throat.
"Too bad you interrupted our party, because I really wanted you to be surprised at what the end result was…" the vampire chided from behind her.
"Tough luck," Sunni hissed as she struggled against the creature at her back until she had her right arm free for use.
"I guess now instead of him, it will be you that goes down…" Stacey whispered into her ear as she moved to force her to look at her lover on the ground.
Drawing in a sharp breath as a surge of adrenaline flooded through her veins, she ground out, "Le natha daged dhaer!" {You are going to die!} as she swiftly landed three sharp and forceful blows to the vampire's ribs with her right elbow.
Stacey staggered backwards after the blow when Sunni whirled around to the left and with her right hand extended palm up, she caught Stacey squarely in the face and knocked her to the ground. Seeing her sword on the ground nearby she strode over to pick it up while the vampire was still down and checked on David as well. Kneeling next to him on the ground she brushed his dark hair back from his face and felt for a pulse on his neck. Finding a faint one she knew he was still alive, much to her relief.
Finally getting to her feet after the blow to the face she had taken from the mortal, she saw her opponent with her love and said snidely as she strode towards them, "Well, isn't this touching…"
Rising to her feet, Sunni turned to face Stacey and simultaneously they charged towards one another. Gripping the katana with two hands she swung in an upward motion from her left side and caught the vampire in the legs and flipped her over in midair, watching as she crashed to the ground upon her back. Slowly shaking off the impact, she arose her back to the mortals when she began to speak in a malicious manner.
"You!"
Turning to face Sunni she continued by saying, "You will no longer stand between me and my destiny!"
"Enough talk!" Sunni replied, battle ready not too far from where Stacey stood.
David saw what was going on around him but was still too weak to move on his own. In a weak voice he called out, "He ú-dano faelas a hyn an uben tanatha le faelas…" {Show her no mercy for you shall receive none…}
Pacing back and forth before the woman she snarled. "I ache to smash you out of existence! To drive your cursed face from my memory forever!"
"Tangado a dagor!" {Prepare to battle!} she replied in return, seeing David stirring out of the corner of her eye.
"Yes, let this be our final battle!" Stacey called out in triumph as the two stared at each other before charging once more at one another.
Sunni's sword cut into her flesh but she felt no pain, it only drove her harder into battle. Landing several heavy punches upon the woman, she finally got her to the ground after a hard kick to the stomach.
"In what world could you have ever beaten me?" Stacey called out wickedly circling the blonde on the ground, "Such a place does not exist…"
Clutching her stomach as the effects of the kick wore off, she saw the vampire heading towards David once more when she heard a cold voice say, "The alpha and the omega… Death and rebirth…" pulling the ranger to his feet and putting her face very close to his neck she smelled the metallic scent of his blood upon his skin as she hissed, "And as you die… I will be reborn!"
The grip Sunni had on her katana got tighter and tighter as she watched the vampire's actions before replying bitterly, "A si I-Dhúath ú-orthor!" {The shadow does not hold sway yet!}
Tossing David aside the charged again towards Sunni at full speed. The two fought hard as they traded powerful blows. Landing a strong kick to the sternum of the vampire, it caused Stacey to fall to the ground, landing upon her knees as Sunni strode forwards to stand before her, the blade of the katana glowing like white fire in the moonlight as it rested against her neck.
"Welcome to the New World!" Sunni hissed to the vampire that was on her knees before her.
She felt her features change out of her demon form and her soul return when she heard her friend hiss angrily, "Lle wethrine amin!" {You deceived me!}, when J.R raced forwards.
^^Phoenix
"No!" J.R yelled as he grabbed Sunni of her.
Sunni struggled against the werewolf as J.R tried to calm her down.
"Let go of me!" Sunni yelled.
"But she's your friend…" J.R replied as he fought to keep his grip on her.
"The bonds of friendship were broken when she tasted his blood!"
"Sunni! Go tend to David." J.R said, breaking through her focused rage at the vampire nearby. She stopped struggling for a moment and looked over to where David lay.
"Go, we may need to take him to the hospital." He said, quickly releasing his grip on her as she ran to his side, only stopping to stare at Stacey who was still on the ground.
"What happened?" Stacey asked as her friend glared down on her; "Last thing I remember I was at the Bronze."
"You mean you don't know what you just did?" J.R said as he helped Stacey to her feet.
As she stood, she finally saw the result of her demon self. Sunni knelt down beside David as the blood still poured from his neck.
"A vampire doesn't just loose a soul and get it back in the course of a day." Spike replied, "Something must have triggered Red."
"Wait a minute… You were there," Stacey said as she pointed to Spike.
Spike raised his hands in defense and answered, "Hey, I had nothing to do with it!"
"No," Stacey continued, "It was you but it wasn't. You look the way you did when you sired me."
"He what!" J.R yelled, "I'll kill him."
Anger rose in him as he stepped towards the blonde vampire. The two were about to fight when Sunni's voice halted them, "Let's get him to the hospital first," she said holding David up as the walked towards the group; "Then you can kill each other." A piece of David's shirt was wrapped around his neck with hopes of controlling the flow of blood from the wound.
J.R and Spike eyed each other in rage as Spike replied, "Old Red here always liked a little demon in her man and I guess you just didn't cut it."
"I am not a demon, your right. I have wolf running through my veins," J.R said as he began to change. Transforming himself into the werewolf that was inside.
"Oh, a werewolf. That's just great!" Spike yelled.
The werewolf launched himself at Spike as Spike's face changed. Sunni, still holding on to David with her left arm, reached into her duster with her right and pulled out her pistol, firing it at the fighting beasts, just missing them by inches.
"This gun is loaded with silver nitrate. We all know what they'll do to a werewolf. And I'd bet they would leave several holes in a vampire. So like I said, let's get him to the hospital!"

Grabbing David's feet, J.R. looked over at Spike and said, "We'll finish this later blondie." To which Spike replied, "Sod off shaggy, go scratch your fleas." Out side the hospital, Stacey stood with Spike and J.R. waiting anxiously for word from Sunni on David's condition.
After what seemed like forever Sunni appeared and said "He's going to be fine." "Well, glad to hear elf boy is gonna pull through." Spike said. "Now" said Sunni as she turned towards Stacey, "Let's figure out what made you go all bitey." Just then, J.R. caught a scent he knew all to well, Ethan Rayne. "I have to go" J.R. said. "Oh, and I was hoping you could stay and have a go with red here." Spike said in his usual sarcastic tone. Walking over to Spike J.R. grabbed him by his long black coat and slamming him against the wall, he looked in Spike's eyes and said "When this all over, I'll be back for you. 'Til then, you need to fix that awful tear in your coat." With that, J.R.'s hand turned and tore a large gaping hole in Spike's coat. "You bloody bastard!" Spike yelled. As J.R. faded off into the night.
Stacey and Sunni went over to her house for research in her archives. "I'm still pissed at you." Sunni said as she pulled her sword out of her coat and laid it on the table." But I'm hoping we can figure out what happened to you." Picking up her katana she looked at Stacey and said "Next time, I will not hesitate in killing you."
"I understand." Stacey said as she sat down in a chair. Just then, the phone rang and when Sunni answered it, Willow's voice said "We need to talk." Sunni said "What's up?" "Has anything happened out of the ordinary?" Willow asked. "I'll say." Sunni said as she told her about the episode Stacey went through. "I'm coming home." Willow said. "No," Sunni said, "I've got enough problems here and I can't protect you from assassins right now." "It's alright, Chelsea was'nt going to kill me, besides I miss Spike, and Buffy is always to busy to hang out. I'll be back there in about an hour and I'll bring the donuts for research mode." Willow said. "Okay, see you in an hour." Sunni said and hung up the phone. "Was that willow? Stacey asked. " Yeah, she's coming back to help us figure all this mess out, and she said she's bringing donuts." With a smile on Stacey's face she said, "Hope there’s jelly."

"Did you have fun tonight," Sarah asked as she walked with Christine from the Bronze.
"You better believe it," Christine replied. "And you. I didn't think a Watcher could dance like that. I mean all the ones I've come in contact with are nothing but stick in the muds, but you. You're actually fun."
"Glad you think that way because tomorrow we start with more training."
Christine stopped walking to stare at her Watcher. "Can I take back that last part?"
"Well, well if it isn't the new slayer and her Watcher," a female voice called from behind. Turning around Christine spotted a tall, dark haired young woman. She wore leather pants and her silver belt sparkled in the moonlight along with her lip stick. "It must be killing B to find out that another slayer has broken her exclusive club."
"Who are you?" Christine asked.
"O' you don't know, am a slayer like yourself," she replied.
"You must be Faith. I heard a lot about you from the Watcher's Council. But I thought you were taken care of. How have you been?" Sarah had just finished her Watcher's training when she first heard of Faith, the Rouge Slayer.
"Five by Five," Faith replied. "It's nice to know am famous. Now enough girl talk!"
Without warning, faith lunched herself at Christine and drove a kick to Christine's mid-section. Unprepared for the blow, Christine caught the kick squarely. Pain shot through her, paralyzing her for a moment. She flew backwards against one of the buildings that lined the street. Barely missing its window. Jumping up, Christine ran back to Faith.
Christine went to strike, but Faith caught her by the arm, flipping her to the ground.
"Chris!" Sarah yelled as she saw her slayer go down.
Suddenly Sarah began to feel two pairs of hands grab her by the arms. Looking to her left, then to her right, Sarah's face turned to horror as she stared at the two vampires that now held her.
"Now girls," the Mayor said as he stepped in front of Faith. "Play nice."
^^Night Owl
“Who are you?” Sarah asked, deciding it was useless to struggle.
“Let’s just say I’m the person who owns this town.” The Mayor said, smirking at he saw Faith place her booted heel on the throat of the teen slayer, trapping her on the ground.
Sarah frowned, but she was too intelligent to be fooled. “Mayor Wilkins.”
“So, you have heard of me?”
“A well-known snake is kind of hard to overlook,” Sarah replied. “What do you want with us?”
“My Faith doesn’t like another slayer poaching on her territory. Besides, I have big plans for Sunnydale; we don’t need any more do-gooders to come and mess things up.”
Sarah looked over to the two slayers, “So the plan is to eliminate the competition? Tell your girl to let my slayer go.”
“I’m nobody’s girl.” Faith swung around and yelled.
Fortunately, her split second of inattention was all the time that Christine needed. She quickly grabbed Faith’s foot with both hands and twisted, throwing the brunette slayer off her and onto the ground. Both slayers simultaneously performed a kip up and were standing facing each other.
“You are not as useless as you look,” Faith sneered.
“And you are way more annoying than you look,” Christine replied.
“Eh, hello, I got your watcher over here with two hungry vampires, little girl,” Mayor Wilkins interrupted.
“Stay out of this,” Faith spat, “this is between me and Blondie!”
The Mayor shrugged, “Well, it appears my slayer wants to play. Don’t worry, she won’t kill her, yet.”
“Come on, show me what you’ve got,” Faith taunted and jumped into a fighting stand.
“Have it your way,” Christine smirked. She faked a right jab, and then caught Faith on the jaw with a left hook. While Faith was slightly off balance, Chris spun around and stood at a 90 degree angle, jammed her elbow to the brunette slayer’s temple. Faith yelled in pain but managed to kick Christine on the back of her knee, dropping her to the ground. However, Christine managed to stay squatted, quickly placing her hands on the ground, she spun on her left foot and kicked out with her right, swiping Faith off her feet. Christine turned onto her back and lifted up her right leg, slamming the heel back down on Faith’s mid-section. More interested in helping her watcher than fighting the slayer, Christine back rolled over her left shoulder and was standing facing the Mayor.
“Let her go.”
“You are impressive. It seems like we might have under estimated you.” Mayor Wilkins said, clapping his hands.
With lightning speed, Christine pulled out her stake, threw it at one of the vampires, hitting him square in the heart. Sarah stomped on the foot of the other vampire. When he screamed and loosened his hold, she turned toward him, brought her knee up and slammed it into his stomach. Before he had a chance to react, Sarah had pulled her stake out from the pocket of her jacket and dusted him.
By now, Faith was up on her feet. She ran toward Christine and threw out a series of punches. Christine managed to block most of them. She took a few hits and returned a few of her own. Her break came when Faith made the mistake of taking too wide of a swing, leaving herself wide open. Christine took the opportunity and stepped in, shovel hooked Faith in the solar plexus. Faith doubled over in pain, and Chris brought her right leg up in a straight line and quickly dropped it back down in axe kick, hitting her heel over Faith’s right shoulder. Faith fell to the ground.
Christine jumped back a few steps, “Are we done?”
Mayor Wilkins watched as Faith struggled to her feet; he intercepted her when Faith tried to come forward. “We are done, for now. But, we will be back.”

::Song used in this post is Suicide Note by Johnette Napolitano::
J.R walked slowly through the cemetery heading past row after row of perfectly straight headstones in ever growing darkness. His thoughts were with Stacey, as the struggle for her mind grew stronger. He wanted to help her, fight the demon within her, if he could. J.R swore she would not be alone in her fight. He never cared about anyone like he cared about her.
(I wanted to believe as I, watched your world crumble in your hands.
I wanted to believe, as you raised your glass to your last stand.
And I wanted to believe you would win the war in your head that I did not understand. I did not understand.)
Stacey sat on the stone crypt floor holding her knees. Once alone, her mask of "everything normal" was removed. Thoughts consumed her mind, as the guilt of her past events washed over her like a storm raging inside her head. David's blood still burned within her throat. She knew Sunni and David would never look upon her the same way again. Looking up, her senses told her as to who was near.
(Every night the questions poured out of your wounded eyes, damn dark things.
Everyday you used to pray, listen to the black raven sing.
You wanted to believe as you were fallen to your days.
Struggle and to stand, with your life in your hands.
The said last stand of a broken man.)
J.R slowly approached his destination and stepped into the shadows of the doorway. Bathed in her scent.
Turning and heading towards the closest door of her crypt, she stood there, not even having the courage to open it. She knew who was on the other side. Resting his right hand upon the cold stone door, J.R slowly brought his left hand up and moved it across the stone as if he was caressing her. Stacey could feel him through the door, placing a hand on the door as candlelight shadowed her face. Resting the side of her head against it before she finally got the courage to open it.
(I wanted to believe as I watched your world crumble in your hands.
I wanted to believe as you raised your glass to your last stand.
And I wanted to believe you would win the war in your head that I did not understand. That I did not understand.)
Unable to bring herself to make his presence known, he turned and disappeared into the night as quietly as he had appeared when Stacey finally opened the door. As she stepped out into the cool night air, she saw no one around. The only thing surrounding her at that moment was the darkness of the night and the light of the moon above.
(Sound of you fallen, is the trembling heart of a dying man. The sound of a trembling heart.)
Unable to control her emotions any longer, she broke down. Falling to her knees in tears. From behind her she felt two hands move around her. J.R held her tightly as she cried in the dark.
J.R awoke in Stacey's crypt after he had held her all night. Sitting up; he looked around and found himself alone in the unkept crypt. Panic filled his heart as he looked up at the small window and realized it was near mid-day. He wondered if her pain was too much to bear and the only way she knew to sop her torment was to be bathed in sunlight. Rushing out of the crypt door, his mind was filled with worry and doubt.
"Oh my god," Christine paced nervously around the Magic Box.
"Just calm down," Buffy said, trying to get her to talk slower, "Start from the beginning. Where's Sarah?"
Taking a deep breath Christine began to tell about her encounter with Faith and the Mayor. After hearing Faith's name Giles took off his glasses and went through the motions of cleaning them.
"Faith, oh dear." Giles said nervously.
"And the Mayor," Xander jumped in after just coming down the ladder, "I thought he was an extra crispy snake."
"Why don't people just stay dead!" Buffy commented.
"And you said you and Sarah got away," Giles said as he placed his glasses back on.
"We were on our way back to tell you about Faith, when the next thing I knew I turn around and see Stacey holding a knife to Sarah's throat. Then two other vampires came up behind her. One was a female, long dark hair, dark eyes and kept calling Stacey, Sire."
"And what about the other?" Giles asked.
"A guy, real good looking for a vamp. Had these eyes that I could spend hours looking at…"
"Chris!" Buffy interrupted.
"Sorry. He told me to tell Buffy something. He said I'm back lover." Christine said as she watched Buffy's eyes get bigger.
"It can't be," Bufy said as she stared in shock; "It can't be him."
"What?" Christine asked, "Look I don't care who 'he' is, I want to get Sarah back. I mean I thought Stacey was on our side. Why would she do this?"
"Because she's not Stacey anymore." A voice called from the door of the shop.
Turning, they saw Spike his blanket still smoking from the sun. Behind him was Sunni with two other guys they hadn't seen before.
"She attacked David," Sunni said as the four made their way to join the group.
"David?" Christine asked.
"Sorry," Sunni walked over to the long brown haired man. Pulling his hair back away from his neck to expose the two puncture wounds he replied, "David."
Sunni continued on by saying, "And the next she was herself again. But now it looks like she's lost it again."
"She disappeared sometime last night." J.R added.
"And you are?" Giles asked.
Before J.R could speak, Spike chimed in, "He's a flea bitten K-9 who needs to be locked up in some pound."
J.R would have attacked Spike right there if it weren't for the look on Sunni's face. Instead he replied, "I'm a werewolf. Name's J.R."
Suddenly the door to the Magic Shop opened. Willow walked in and to Spike's horror was followed by the assassin, Chelsea.
"Willow look out!" Spike yelled as he jumped up as Buffy grabbed him by the arm stopping him.
"It's ok." Buffy said as she let go of his arm.
"Chelsea is one of the good guys." Willow replied.
^^Ice
“Back off, Blondie,” Chelsea said softly and hopped onto the counter. She tucked her legs underneath her and made herself comfortable as she watched the drama unfolded.
Spike glanced at the young woman uncertainly before walking over to Willow and pulled her beside him, “What’s up with her?”
“She has been protecting me, Spike. I have my own personal ninja body guard.” Willow smiled and looked around the room, “I’ll explain later. What’s going on?”
Christine was the one who answered, “They’ve taken Sarah.”
“Who are they?” Willow asked.
Giles gulped, “Faith, Mayor Wilkins, Angel, Stacey and another vampire.”
Willow looked over to Buffy, “Angel?”
“Angelus, I think.” Buffy said, her lips trembling. “They are saying that Stacey has been doing a Sybil act lately, maybe she was processed or something.”
Sunni looked at the group, “She had attacked a friend and then acted like she didn’t understand why. We had a big fight; I almost killed her.”
“She didn’t know what she was doing,” J.R. said. “Something or someone is messing with her head.”
“Who’s the other vampire?” Xander asked.
“Long, dark hair, called Stacey sire, anyone you know?” Christine turned to Spike.
Spike sighed, “That would be Lina. She doesn’t have a soul like Stacey does.”
“Look, we can try to figure out what’s wrong with Stacey after we get my watcher back.” Christine asked no one in particular, “Where could they have taken her?”
“If Angelus is back, my guess would be the mansion on Crawford.” Willow said.
“Then that’s where I’m heading, anyone coming?” Christine said tersely.
“Christine, we know you are worried, but we need a plan. You can’t just go blazing into a house filled with vampires. We don’t even how many they have with them. Besides, they must be expecting us to attack.” Giles said.
“So, let’s hear the plan,” Christine answered, “no, don’t have one? Fine, then we go with my plan.”
“Christine, you know, you remind me a lot of myself,” Buffy came forward, “I was like that too, always thinking of just rushing in, kill the baddies, and save the day. But, I’ve learned to trust Giles. He’s more often right than wrong. We know we have at least three strong vampires to deal with, not to mention a slayer and with the mayor, that means we are dealing with an army.”
“We don’t have time,” Christine said impatiently.
“Yes, we do. Kidnapping Sarah is their of way trying to force us into doing something stupid.” Giles said. “We need to research into why Stacey has been acting so strangely. We also need to know how many and who they have on their team. We have a better chance of getting Sarah back if we know who are dealing with.”

Light poured from a small opening above Sarah as she struggled against the ropes that bound her to the small chair.
"Do you think they'll come?" Lina asked as she watched the helpless watcher.
"They will not leave her behind," Stacey replied; "And that little note I left at the Magic Box tells them how to get here."
"Girls," a voice echoed off the walls.
Lina and Stacey stepped out of the room and traveled down one of the many catacombs of the Sunnydale sewer system, when a voice said, "There you are."
Ethan Rayne called to them as they approached and entered a large chamber, "We are almost ready."
The rest of the group was also gathered. At the center of the chamber was a large glowing mass of flesh and green organs. It looked as if a person was gutted and their organs were formed into a ball. Blood dripped from it as it hovered in mid-air.
"See kids, this is what happens when you don't take your vitamins," the Mayor said as he stared at the strange orb.
"Do you mind telling us again, what is that thing?" Angelus asked.
"That thing, is what brought you, Angelus, and everyone here back. You are all a perfect reconstruction of your former evil-selves. Except for you two." Ethan quickly turned his attention to Lina and Stacey. "Lina was the one who came to me. She was sick of seeing her sire with a soul. But her soul is still there. With the help of our little friend here, I just muffled it."
"So we are not really here?" Faith said, sitting sideways on a chair with her legs propped up on the armrest.
"Oh, you're real to the touch," Ethan replied; "The alkar demon feeds on evil. It creates people, people of evil to give him chaos."
"Does that mean we get to go play?" Dru asked.
"The slayer's mine." Angelus said.
"Hey!" Faith replied, quickly standing; "You'd better be more specific. You'll get B, just wait."
"Sunni will die by my hands," Stacey replied.
"I didn't know we had to pick a partner," William said as he leaned up against the wall.
"Faith," Ethan said, looking over at her, "I want you to guard the watcher."
"With pleasure," she replied before leaving.
Ethan looked around him with a proud smile on his face as he said, "So it begins."

The gang started to leave for Angelus' mansion. When all at once, J.R. caught Stacey's scent. He also caught another scent, blood. Human blood
"Wait guys, I smell something." J.R. said as he turned back into the shop. J.R. walked slowly sniffing the air as he made his way to Buffy's training room. There, on the mirror, he saw her demented message. "HAVE SARAH SEWER ENTRANCE ON MYERS AVE COME IF YOU DARE."
"Looks like were going into the sewer." Sunni said. Looking back at the gang she said," Don't forget, Stacey is mine."
"Oh bloody brilliant we have to crawl around in the stink because Scooby here smelled something." Spike chimed in.
"Back off, blondie. or you could stay here."J.R. started over towards Spike as Sunni pretended to clear her throat and gave J.R. a menacing look to which J.R. replied "Yes ma'am."
Xander said, "Looks like we know who's holding the leash."
"You might be next, bug boy." J.R. replied.
Looking at Willow, Xander said, "What, does every know?"
"ALRIGHT!" Giles yelled. " We all need to be on the same page here. Now let's go and deal with this evil and destroy it.... As usual."
"Well if there’s nothing else," Sunni said "Let's go." As she led them out of the magic shop.

^^Chelsea
Chelsea followed the others down the sewers slowly, wondering why she was acting so out of character. Being an assassin was usually a solitary occupation. She never had a partner, she didn’t really have any friends, but now she was fighting with about a dozen others. She could take off, none of them would be able to stop her, not that they would even try. But, maybe it was hanging with Willow for a while; she liked the kid. She liked to be able to have an intelligent conversation every once in a while. Besides the end of the world meant the same no matter where she was, so maybe fighting against evil wasn’t so bad. Chelsea never thought of what she did as evil; most of those she killed deserved to die. She was just doing a job. The CIA did it, James Bond did it, they get pay to do it just like her. She just didn’t bother glamorizing it.
Willow was walking beside Spike; he had shortened his steps to match hers. She was nervous, and she had dug her hand into Spike’s, borrowing his strength. Spike whispered something softly in her ear, and she smiled, relaxing slightly.
The sewers smelled, and the ground was wet. Chelsea frowned; Anya, Buffy, and Sunni were all in high heels, making a silent approach impossible. Anya squealed when a rat ran over her foot; Buffy gave her a look of annoyance, and Anya demanded, "What?"
Buffy just shook her head and marched on ahead.
Once they had entered the main tunnel, Buffy indicated that everyone should spread out. Christine immediately left to look for her watcher. Giles told her to be careful, but the young slayer was already gone.
^^Phoenix
"Xander, Spike, Willow." Buufy ordered. "Your with me. Giles, Sunni, and J.r will head down to into the main chamber.
"I take it you have been down here before," J.R. asked.
"You could say that," Buffy replied with a smile.
Xander replied, "Ya, it's a weekend thing for us to go roaming in the sewers."
^^Chelsea
"Sorry but I normally work alone. I'll let you know if I find anything, " Chelsea volunteered and headed to the left. She found herself in a small room that appeared to be a storage room. She had just stepped into the room when she was confronted by a woman with shoulder length blonde hair. Chelsea didn’t recognize the blonde, but she had the feeling that the woman wasn’t human.
"Uninvited guests are always welcome," Darla said sweetly. "We were hoping to have dinner soon. Did you bring any friends?"
Chelsea shrugged, "They are kinda busy else where. I think this is going to be just you and I."
Darla laughed, "Oh well, you look good enough to eat." Her eyes turned yellow as ridges appeared on her forehead.

Christine dusted the vampire guarding the door silently. She sighed in relief when she saw her watcher. Sarah was tied to a chair; she looked like she had been roughened up some, but she was still breathing. Sarah looked up and her eyes brightened when she saw her slayer. She watched guardedly as Christine rushed forward.
“Took you long enough,” Sarah said.
“Hey, are you okay?” Christine asked.
“Sore, but nothing broken,” Sarah answered.
Christine nodded and moved to the back of the chair and started to untie the rope holding Sarah prisoner.
“Who else is here?”
“Everyone,” Christine said as she finally managed to loosen the knot; she pulled the rope away and moved back to the front to undo the knots on Sarah’s ankles. She had just put her hands on the knot when her slayer’s sense picked up an unfriendly vibe from behind. She let go of the rope and jumped up, turned around, and came face to face with Faith.
“Well, well, well, looks like the newest slayer had decided to join the party,” Faith taunted. “You know there are a roomful of hungry vampires just itching for a taste of slayer’s blood.”
“Good, I’m sure they can overlook the rancidness of your blood.” Christine said as she moved toward Faith.
Christine ducked under Faith's leg as Faith did a round-house kick that would have taken Christine's head off. Keeping her momentum going Christine stood up leading with her right fist to Faith's face.
Faith stumbled backwards, but only for a moment as she charged forward. Landing a side-kick to Christine's mid-section.
Sarah watched the two slayers battle as she removed the last of the ropes.
^^Alfie the Bloody
Lina stood next to Ethan with a smile etched upon her face as she saw Sunni, and J.r enter. As soon as J.R.'s eyes caught sight of Ethan Rayne anger began to flow within him.
"So your behind this," J.R. said.
"Very good, J.R. You have a keen sense for the obvious," Ethan replied with a smile.
Something caught Sunni's eye as she drifted out towards the other side of the large chamber. No one seemed to notice or just didn't care.
"Now, now, boy. No reason to get nasty about this," Ethan said as he saw the hatred in J.r's eyes.
"O, I think it is the perfect time to get nasty." J.r could feel the beast within him start to take over. "Times up, Ethan. Rules change." Looking in to Ethan's eyes as he replied, "Growl."
And with that word, J.r began to change, becoming more animal than man.
