"Jack get back up." She said as she help him try to sit up. "Jack we run aground. Wake up." After several tries with little successes, an evil look crossed her face as said. "Isn't that your rum being carried off?"

"The rum!" Captain Jack sprang from his position grabbing his pistol and yelling, "All hands! save the rum! Come on you scabberous dogs!" They were all looking at him like he'd gone mad. Relizing he'd been duped, He look over to Galuwen who had a smug smirk on her face. He walked over to her and said "Not funny lov, and if we were still at sea you'd be walking the plank savvy?" "Still," Captain Jack said, "Let's go survey the damage."

Scarlet picked her way daintaly over the wreckage, this was not her cup of tea at all.
First her own ships sinks then that heap of trash she savalged sank and now this one looked like it was gonna sink!
What else could go wrong!

The storm from the sea blew inland and it started to rain heavily. Captain Jack looked up and smiled. "Well, could be worse I'd imagine." He said as he walked passed Galuwen. He surveyed the damage and said to his first mate, "When the storm passess, we'll patch the ship up and scower the land for any food we can find." Suddenly, Captain Jack spun around. Walking over to the shore he looked out into the sea as if he see clear down to bottom. Sniffing the air he smiled as Galuwen and Scarlet joined him.

"Well captain what exactly do you plan to do now?" Scarlet demanded. She certainly didn't want to be stuck here.
The water was a crystaline blue and she imagine it was not that deep but even so, the island was probably deserted.
Her patience thin she nodded at the salvaged cargo "couldn't we just dump that and be on our way?"

"Well, lov I'm going to get out of the storm and have some rum. And as soon as this rain passess, I'm going for a swim. The treasre we seek is right ouy there." He pointed to the ocean, Turning back to Scarlet and Galuwen he held up his bottle and asked "Care to join me?"

Scarlet laughed, "I could drink you under the table small fry!" she grabbed the bottle from his outsretched hand and took a long swig.
Conceious of the pirates incredulous stare.
The rain fell heavily and the patter of rain off the sails and rigging was almost musical in the half light.
"So Captain, this treasure, it's under the water yes?" she asked and the captain nodded.
"Well it may surprise you to know that I used to be quiet an acomplished pearl diver in singapore. I wonder if I met be off some assisstance?"

"I've been to singapore and I seen my fair share of pearl divers. I you wish to assis, assississ,...help me, er us I ment say us, I would gratley appreciate it." He said as he grabbed the bottle out of hands. "Now clearly you couldn't drink me under the table and do know why? I'm Captain Jack Sparrow,savvy?"

"We shall see." she said smiling. As the night deepened and the in the gloom the fires appeared to burn with a new intensity, Scerlet felt roused to song.

to heal my heart and drown my woe
the rain may fall th wind may blow and there'll still be many miles to go,
Sweet is the sound of the rumbling rain and the stream taht falls from hill to plain...."

"I love this song!" Captain Jack said as he stumbled through the words. All he could man age to mutter was "Drink up me hearties yo ho" As he raised his bottle to his lips and passed out from the over indulgence of rum.

The sun rose and scarlet blinked awake. Her limbs were stiff from sleeping in a sitting position. Ugh what undignified squaler.
Jack was stil asleep and as she rose she gave him a prod with the toe of her boot.
"Come on we have work to do!"

"Wait love, we should wake the others don't you think?" Captain Jack said as he looked at the snoring lot and said as he turned back to Scarlett, "On secaond thought, lets wake them after we find the treasure." Wlking out he could smell the warm scent of the sea and he and Scarlett took a small boat out to where the treasure lay hidden. "Now love," Captain Jack started, "We need to find this treasure quickly and get back so we can live like royalty." With that he dove in the blue and said as he came up, "Come in the water's fine."

Scarlet removed the bulk of her skirt to reveal a pair of short trouser beneath them, taking off her boots she performed a pefect swan dive into the ocean. she was surprised by it's warmth the crystal clearness of the water.
"REady?" she asked

Treading water, Captain Jack said, "Aye, love." Smelling the water, he said "This way." He dove under and swam towards a wrecked ship split in two. Motioning to Scarlett to join him he pointed to the hole. Swimming around them were hundreds of colorful tropical fish. He saw a shining glimmer down in the depths. it was to far for him to dive. He pionted up and they swam up for air. They broke the surface and gasped fro air. "It's down there." Captain Jack said in half astonishment, half confidence. "Alright love," He said to Scarlett, "It's up to you."

Taking a last breath of clear Scarlet plunged under again with accustomed ease. the lower she swam the less light there was to guide her way. As her eyes accustomed to the gloom her strokes lenghtened aware of her need for air. The old chest came into site. Kicking madly making for one final push for the bottom she reached it. Dragging it from it's resting place she hauled the barnacle incrusted box from it's resting place and beat madly for the surface.
She felt as if her brain might explode if she didn't get some clear air into her burning lungs.
Finally she broke the surface to see Jacks sardonic grin, taking several deep cleansing breaths she finally said "All preesnt and correct captain" still with a frim hold on the ancient box.
