Well, now that you've read Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, what do you think?
I didn't like it as much as book five. All of the memory things were rather tedious. I mean, they were importent backstory, but it slowed the novel down so much.

I liked it better than book 5... Harry was too much of a jerk in book 5, it's easily my least favorite.
Book 6 was pretty solid, although you're probably right that a couple of the memory sequences could have been half chapters instead of full chapters.

Ya, it just didn't seem as relevant to the plot. I mean, I'm sure that all of this information will be important by the end of book 7, but it doesn't do anything for me right now. I mean, while I was interested in Voldemort's background, I am far more interested in finding out more about Harry's parents. I don't know... I still haven't read through all 6 books again after reading book 6 for the first time. Perhaps it will make more sense then.
