Kalene jumped and involuntarily pulled away as Vash laid his hand on her shoulder. "I'm fine," she shakily replied. "Just fine. Sorry for the distraction."

Kalene looked away, trying to figure out how to answer the question she had just been asked without revealing too much to people she barely knew. "I was sent here on a scouting mission," she replied, "And I have to report what I find back to my superiors." 'I hope he doesn't any more questions,' she thought, 'Because I'm not sure I'll be able to answer them if he does.'
(ooc: sorry for the reaction to your touch but Kalene isn't used to it...lol)

"I can't stop you," she said, "But I'm not sure what I'll be doing from one moment to the next." She had always worked alone except for Xaverri once or twice and wasn't sure if he would like or approve her method of doing things.

rif sat there for a moment in dead silence, he too had watched the converstation between the lounge singer and the bar patron, but for entirely different reasons. looking kalene and vash he considered his options and what he knew had to be done. there was one other thing that bothered him, something about the young man who claimed to fight in the clone wars with ben. rif knew there were jedi tricks to retard aging but most viewed them as a pathway to the dark side.
"if you dont mind, i will travel with you kalene," he said at last, "my brother would want someone to look out for you as you search for these missing jedi. also stopping the emperor from dominating the galaxy is too important to leave in the hands of a young man." he stared directly at vash as he said that
"the jedi are stronger in number, wouldnt you agree, vash." a cold smile traced itself onto his scarred half of his face
