Riathas smiled at her "Thank you!" she gestured to the lifts at the end of the corridor.
There was th grief the padawan felt, but there was something else. Her Jedi senses could not pin point it, but as a women she knew there was something else. but it was there, as elusive as mist, but there all the same.
The lift was swift and before long they stood in the gaurded corridor that led to the council chamber. Rows of statues lined it, busts of masters long dead but whose essence still resided within these halls just as it resided within everyone of them and within every being throught the galaxy.

She kept silent as they traveled along the corridor. Unsure of what to say. She was still not at full strength. That will take only time and rest before she will be back to herself. With her teatments, only a day or so. But her mind was clouded with other thoughts. Her mind to filled with pain to sense what was there.

Riathas opened the door into the high wide council chamber. The council was already assembeled but they did not look up as they entered, but master Yoda said from his seat "Welcome you are, yes a trying time we know you have had, but tell us all you must"
Riathas looked at the padawan half pleading with her to talk, she had known Yoda all her life and knew he would be sympathetic having lost padawans to death, the darkside and old age.
"Hmm speak you must" he said and the padawan stiffened just visably. "Sad you are, see it we can. Yes, but dark side it is and fight it you must"
The other masters nodded in agreement. Oh speak please speak, Riathas begged silently, trying to porject confidence into the younger women.

She stood there wondering how could they be so cold. Were Jedi just too emotionless to love and feel grief. "We arived at planet on time." She said first softly and then growing in every word untill her voice echoed the room. "There were no signs of any foul play at that time. During the talks is when the Devaronian raided the grounds. They were heavly armed. My master and I did our best to protected thoses involed with the talks but they stomed the room in full force. I was the first the go down do to a shot to the arm. I quickly made my way on to my feet. We did manage to escape but bearly. It was when we reached the main courtyard that....." She stopped quickly. Looking around the room at the eyes upon her.

The pain coming off the other women was like a foul smell, that permeated the air and lingered. The hallowed halls were practically screaming out in anguish at the pain in her voice.
Riathas sympathy went out to her and thought on all she had been through and hte sadness that had threatened to overtake her when her own master died

silent as the tomb, irdu watched the young jedi tell her tale. he could picture the battle and how the two strove to protect the innocent. he had seen vague reports come from the generals of the new army, but they were written by non-force powered beings for non-force powered beings, this was different. like being there on the battle field, tasting the blood and smelling the ozone of blasterfire.
but irdu felt something else. while everyone was focused on the paadawan's pain and angush over her story, irdu felt something coming from riathas. the years and distance that had sepreated them had not weakened the bond, for lack of a better word, that they once shared. and right now he felt something off of her that shocked him somewhat.
you identify with her feelings about her jedi master? he mind sent to her along they're private bond. irdu had taken a place directly opposite of riathus in the hall and now was looking at her, holding her eye as if he was standing directly in front of her.
yoda leaned forward in his little seat, addressing the young paadawan, "continue, pain you have we are aware. rest of story know we must."
irdu divided his attention between the tell being told and riathas.why do you feel so strongly about this one, riathas? why does what she felt for her master stir old thoughts and bring memories of times we agreed to forget back to the surface of yer mind?

Only through rememberance can we learn from our past, other wise history will repeat itself she sent to him. But she knew that what he said was true. She shoudl try and forget it was too easy to be caught up in old emotions and long remembered pain.
As to why I care for this padawan, it is a question that I cannot answer because I do not know, there is more to this than meets the eyes, and more than she is telling. Surely you feel it too? she met his gaze firmly and blasted the short term memory inhancement of her earlier conversation with the padawan to him, trying to convey teh emotions she recieved from the younger women and the emotions and doubt she herself felt.

irdu reviewed silently what she had sent to him and indeed could see how it appeared that the young jedi was not telling something that lurked in her heart. he had a notion as to what that was.
it is irrelevent to the matter at hand, he sent, his "voice" prehaps harsher then needed, but that was only because if what he was thinking was indeed the truth. that this paadawan and her mentor were indeed then teacher and student, then he not only indentified with the young jedi but felt feelings that he had been forced be circumstances and duty were bubbling to the surface of his heart like lava from an errupting volcano.
he shook his head, forcing these thoughts from his mind, hoping no other in the room had sensed them. when his gaze returned to riathas, irdu knew that she had felt what he had felt through their bond, forged in the force so many years ago.
he blinked. i thought you desolved the siskodax when you left to serve your world, he sent in the first show of true astonishment he had allowed anyone actually see in a exteremly long time. the day you left i could not sense it and you said that it was better that way as so we would never be distracted from the duties that came with the path we had to walk.

Her voice broke the silence one more. "When we made it to the courtyard we saw them amounst the Devaronian. Battle Droids. They filled the courtyard, what looked to be hundards. That is when my fear washed over me like waves upon the sand. My master told me to be strong that fear only blinds us. There was a small group of solders behind us. Other then that we were the only protection the city had. We were saddly out numbered. Are only hope was to protect all that we could untill we could call for help. Our ship was just outside the city. When the droids attacked it looked like fireworks. All you could see was a blanket of color and smoke. Ducking as low as we could Master and I headed towards the right of the courtyard, our lightsabers becoming a blurr as we repelled the on coming shots. What we could not repell we felt. Making it out of the courtyard we were surrounded once more. Devaronian circled us with heavy blaster riffles. Using the force we leaped over them. That is when they opened fire as well as the last thing I rembered. Other then my master carring me. I awoke in the bacta tank. That's all I know." She stood still for a moment, feeling all eyes upon her.

it's true distraction can be lethal especially when it serves no real purpose.
Riathas sent a blast of confidence and hope to the younger women, this was hard for her she knew, but strength was needed and failure had only been briefly avoided, and unless they moved quickly, there would be nothing they could do.

master yoda frown and griped his can tightly. "most distressing this is," he said after a moment of thought, "storm coming on horizen it is, hard to see beyond. ahead of us is much suffering, but from where no one on the council can see. verrrry distrubing."
irdu shifted on his feet slightly and looked at the ageing master. he could not believe what he was hearing. "surely, master, the order will weather this storm."
it was master windu who answered, "even the strangest brass tree will bend in the wind if that wind is strong enough."
"recover our fallen comrade remains we must," yoda said without preamble, "closer must be had," he looked at the young paadawan, "for all of us. master irdu."
"yes master yoda,"
"perform this task you and master riathas will. take with you the paadawan. do not let your feelings blind you to your task, wether they are feelings of fear or musings of things past it matters not. for work themselves out they will if the force is willing."
with that yoda, winduu and the other council members filed out of the chamber in silence leaving irdu with the two women.
guess he "heard" us he sent ruefully to riathas before walking to the paadawan "in all the excitement i dont think i have ever learned your name."

"Galuwen Tharen." She replied. He thoughts were of going back to that place. "We well surley be out numbered once more. I do not wish any more blood to fall unpon that planet. If we must return, at least bring more Jedi with us." Her voice was urgent and fearful.

"There are no other to spare, We will send out a signal if any other Jedi wish to meet us at any stage of our journey they can but for the time being we must go, and soon" Riathas said solemnly looking from Galuwen to Irdu.
"MY ship is still at the landing platform it is fast and well armed, it will not take us long to reach there in it. My droid, RD-RR is still aboard, I can send him a signal to meet us at the landing dock on the upper level almost immediatly assuming you feel well enough?" she finished addressing the younger women.

irdu turned to the young jedi.
"forgive me, but i cant seem to recall your name, my child" he said blinking as if something had hit him in the face.
he looked at riathas with slight confusion, "we did know her name when we went to the medi-bay did we not? why is it that i cant recall that information? my memory is flawless...i can remember every detail of every day that ive been in creation. i can remember the day i arrive here all so many years ago. i was meet at the enterance by master....." he paused again. irdu's face showed his puzzlement as he tried to recall the name of that person. he then looked at riathas again eyes widen in confusion mixed with fear.
riathas, i can not remember the name. i can not remember any of the details of that day clearly! am i losing my mind?!

I too feel it, a growing menace that covers the order like a plague, the council is worried I have sensed it, master Yoda fears a hidden darkness, weather it is a sith power or the power of some unkown evil I cannot see.
She looked from one face to the other around the room. Feeling with her inate ability the fear nd confusion that threatened to consume their whole way o9f life, time was growing short.
