"Buffy." Angel said as he released her arm from his grasp. "Let's not be hasty here, she must be here for a reason. The last time we saw each other, it was... well let's just say I almost did your job for you." Kneeling down, Angel looked at Stacey who was beginning to open her eyes and as he looked into them he gasped at what he saw. Looking up at the slayer he said "We need to find Giles."

"Are you OK? "Buffy asked Angel, gently tilting Angel's face down to get a closer look at the nasty cuts Dru left. "You know that they believe that you are lost to me. That I somehow stole you from them. But we both know it's not true......is it?"

"Yeah I'm fine." Angel said as he shrugged off the pain and helped the red headed vampire to her feet. "And no, I am with you because I want to." Angel said as he put her in the car. "Now, let's go."

The three found there way to Giles house, but he was not home. So they went straight to the school library. Sure enough he was sitting behind a big desk and an even bigger pile of books. He saw Buffy and Angel enter the room and smiled. When he saw the trailing Anastasia behind them his smile turned to a frown." Why did you bring a vampire here?" he asked quizzically. He then removed his glasses off of his face to clean them. " No offence of course he said looking at Angel."

"I would sure like to know the answer to that question too" Buffy said as she hopped on top of Giles desk to sit." So what's going on Angel, spill. Cause this one would have been an easy kill. Not that I couldn't finish the job." Giles chimed in "Now Buffy you above all else should be able to trust Angel's resoning. There must be a logical explanation for all of this. Right Angel?"

Angel syood next to Anastacia and reached down to hold her hand. The suprised look on all there faces were detered when Angel spoke. "She's like me. She has her soul. I can attest that at one time she was the feircest of all vampires and no one is more shocked than I am."
Cleaning his glassess...again, Giles said to her, "How did it happen or better question is why? Was it like Angel? A curse? A punishment? What caused it?" Looking at the door as Willow entered the room Giles said "You are amongst friends and it's alright to rell us. Your safe now."
Willow sat next to Buffy as the red headed vampire began to speak.

"Yes, I have it. A soul some call it." She felt strange in the company she was in as she sat upwards, still holding onto Angel's hand. It took her a moment afterwards to notce that they were holding hands. Quickly she moved hers away. "Just I understand my actions more. It was Angel I was searching for, and I guess I found him once more. Just I never thought it would be with a Slayer." She said as she ignored everyone else in the room.

"Like mind numbing margins with pictures. That's how I knew Angel would be in Sunnydale." She stopped as if she just thought of something else. "Wait you mean these things are not because of my soul?"

Angel looked at her and smiled as he said," No, I had a friend who recived the same exact visions and before he died, he passed it on to our friend, Cordeilia" He paused then continued, "They are from the powers that be, and belive it or not, they are a gift."

Buffy began to feel a swell of jealousy rise up in her. The way he looked at Anastacia frightened her, and it was obvious Anastacia may have feelings for Angel. They had a past together, but she wanted to be Angel's future. Soul or not she thought about slaying the bitch. Willow looked at Buffy and they exchanged a look, a look that said there was something very wrong. Buffy jumped off of Giles desk and left the room the door slamming behind her. She walked outside took a deep breath and started to walk home.  |

As she walked Buffy was lost in her thoughts, she didn't see the gang of vampires coming up behind her. The leader walked up and grabbed her by the shoulder. Before she had time to react, the vamp turned to dust immediatley. Then suddenly the other five vampire were reduced to dust. In astonishment, Buffy's eyes bulged out as she saw Faith standing in front of her. She was speechless as Faith lit a cigarette and said."Hey B."

"Faith oh my God you scared me!" What are you doing back in Sunnydale?" " oh...just looking for a little action. Truth? I've been following some red-headed vamp but I keep losing her trail. You haven't seen her have ya?" Buffy looked down at her feet. "You might be surprised at what I've seen.Listen, I'll tell you where she is if you tell me what you know about her. Fair exchange right?
