As she slept, Nasar came to her in her dreams. "Do not grieve for me my love. Come I wish to show you some thing. He held her hand and guided her to the window. Night was the blanket and it was covered all over the land. "My history is one I wanted to tell you in life but now I shall reveal it to you now."
"I am not what you think. I am a preist however my power was a gift from Horus and Osiris the set me up as their son on earth. My death was not in vain, in fact, it was planned." He stopped and looked at her and as the moon rose high in the east, he leaned over and kissed her gently on the lips. "I will now help you spiritually and be there only in your sight and hearing. Until my new coporeal body is prepared."
With that he turned to leave and walked away.

She woke with a start, it had seemed so real, it was Nasar, but surely not he was dead, and his body lay in the great desert packed with salts.
She rose to her table and study the reflection in it. shivering she noticed that from the corner of her eye the window was open, she was sure that her servant Fara had shut it before she retired.
She gasped as hte full weight of the vison returned to her, "it was planned" his words echoed again in her mind. It was him, she was sure of that now, but what was planned? and how did it concern her, and the whole of the upper kingdom.

Suddenly a rumbling began heavy on the floor as she ran to the window to see a horde of horsemen charging the villiage. "It's another attack!" A voice said as ingwe turned to see Nasar standing before her in a blueish silver glow. "Come with me to safety." He led her down a corridor she didn't know existed in her own palace. She ran until she was in a room she had never been in before. Nasar stood before her and smiled as said "Do not fear my love, I am not going to do you any harm. You'll be safe here and I will protect you." Hesitant Ingwe sat down and lokked around the chamber.

She surveyed the room, it was massive. How did she not know this room existed? Her grand- father had built the palace, and she had not known him, but her father had never taken her to this place.
It was high and wide, with an alter of the heathen god Pheobas Apollo at one end connected by a fine golden chain to an altar of the sun disk Rá. It's significance was lost now but still it puzzled her.
One end of the room was filled with gold and silver, couches and chariots, like the booty of some ancient tomb. A cache by the door was filled with fine urns and canopic jars, ready to recieve the remains.
she gasped, was this place a tomb? was she to simply wait here and prepare herself to meet the after life, with none of the preperation and sanctity of death?
she sat on one of the many golden couches, overwhelmed by the events of the passing days and for the first time in her life, began to cry.

"Do not dispair." A voice said as she looked up to see Nasar standing before her in a coporeal form. "This place," He began, "Is not for the dead but for your training. You are the last in a descending line of egyptian mages. Somewhere along the way, the blood was mixed with royalty and you are the end result. Your mother whom you never knew was the one before you and it was believed your brother was the gifted one. That's why they were murdered. Only your father knew the truth and he took the secret to his grave. Now it is up to you to stop the othr ruler who has been attacking your kingdom, for she is also a mage of another blood line and wants to be the only one." Nasar walked over to the altar and picked up gold and jeweled knife. "You need to accept your charge and seal it with your blood." He handed her the knife and asked "Do you accept?"

She had never feared death in battle, but this was something else.
Slowly she took the jewled blade in her trembling hand. she took a deep breath and let it out slowly, and blew her fear out with it.
She was ready to avenge her brother. She would not let some other ruler desicrate the land of her fore-fathers
The blade was keen and it sliced into her delicate flesh with ease. Immediatly her skin was bright with blood and she let her life blood drip slowly onto the high later, trickling over the ancient inscriptions. "I accept" she said strongly the tremor gone from her voice. For the first time since this all began she felt like was doing the right thing.

"Good then it begins." Nasar said with a grin. Ingwe was suprised to see that the wound was on her hand was gone. Looking at Nasar she was about to ask when he broke into "You have been blessed and you cannot be harmed save for your back that is only place a fatal blow can be delivered. However the gods thought of that as well and furnished you with armour taht will protect you from harm. A cloak that makes you invisible and a vast array of weapons to combat him." Walking over to her he put his hands on her shoulders smiling, he said "Good, let's get started!" the room got dark as a light shined over Ingwe. Suddenly she was lifted into the air and a force of energy rushed into her filling her with ancient knowledge and fighting skills both weapons and hand to hand combat. Falling to knees she looked up to see Nasar standing before her. "Now, defend yourself!"He said as he wooshed a sword towards her head.

She moved outside her own control, her limbs felt strong and her hearing and vision keener than ever before.
As Nasar attacked with the blade, she rolled aside dodging the attack. As she moved she felt as if the world was spinning slower than before. She felt that she could roll aside and stand before he had finished the attack.
She jumped high into the air the heavy brocade of her skirts clinking as she moved. landing behind Nasar she swept out her leg and landed him flat on his back.
She stumbled back apace, "What was that?" she asked increduously.

Looking up at Ingwe, Nasar said as he got up, "That was your power that is indeed great." Walking over to the queen who was now glowing a radiant golden shimmer, he placed his hand on her shoulder and sadi with a grin, "You are ready."

Nasar walked over to the door and waved his hand in front of it and as it opened, Ingwe took her first view of her destiny. "Come it is time to face your true calling in this mortal existance." Nasar said as walked through the door and led back to her bedroom. It was still night and the attack was just a dream to awaken hr to her destiny. "Tomorrow, you will recieve notice for a metting with her. She will try to persuade you to join her but you will refuse." I will be there to help guide you all you have to do is look for the signs." Nasar turned to go and the he stopped and said, "Ingwe, we are all counting on you. I know you can champion yourself agianst her and you will suceed. Luck is futile, but good luck anyway."

That night she slept fitfully, her dreams haunted by dark and shadowy figures. She awoke at day break to the sound of the water lapping the shore. She rose and prepared for the meeting. It was close to midday when a messenger arrived, "my mistress begs a meeting." Ingwe did not answer but nodded her agreement and let him lead the way.

As her caravan took her to her destined meeting, Ingwe's thoughts were full of hope as she was distracted by a raven. This was nr ordinary raven it glowed a golden glow like Nasar. Intsantly she knew he was with her and she felt more at ease. They came to a stop and she saw the palace. It was maginficent. A palace liasion greeted her and said, "Welcome princess, please follow me." She led her to a great hall.

With the golden raven perched upon her shoulder, Ingwe stood before the throne of the pretender. Barely concealed hatred smpoulder in the other womens dark features.
Ingwe seated herself beneath the statue of Rá as no servent showed her her seat. As a princess of the house of Tamous it was her right to speak with even the mightiest of rulers and no provincial leader would dictate to her, destiny or no destiny.
"You begged this meeting lady" she said before her host could speak. "Why, and speak quickly, I grow tired of your disrespect" she snapped projecting all the regal power she could muster into the words.

Suprised by her short tmperedness, The pretender stood and introduced herself. "My name is Colleinis and I am pleased you chose to honor me with your presance." She walked over to Ingwe and extended her hand in peace. "Take my hand and we shall enter the house." Smiling at Ingwe she said "After all, you are my guest."
