"Lady, you have enither the rank nor the honour required for that" she said unmoving. "The loin does not enter the serpents den, I will not enter your house. This meeting will take place in the courtyard of your temple of NĂșt, as she is the patron god of this region." she said and rising she wept from the seat to the temple proper, and sat in the seat of honour she wanted this owmen in no doubt of what she thought of her.

Realising Ingwe was no fool, and a student of the gods like her self she concured with her and they held the meeting. As she spoke, the golden glowing raven flew over head. Out of the corner of her eye Ingwe saw him. "Ingwe the reason I called tis meeting is toask you to join me in my quest. Your knigdom rests right near the nile and it's beauty is the stuff of legend. The addition of your kingdom would be the greatest asset to mine todate. In return you would still rule only taking orders from me and you would have acsess to all my other kingdoms I have aquired. This governing system is under my absolute rule and any who defy would be dealt with accordingly." As a servant offered Ingwe some freshment, the queen spoke again. "Do you accept or not?"

Ingwe laughed "no no-one from the house of Tamous will ever submit to the rule of another my family have ruled the upper nile for generations, that shall not change" she took a piece of fruit the servent offered, and raised it to her lips and smiled at the look in the other womens eyes she had seldom seen a lok of such loathing and hope. laughing again she threw the fruit to her rivals ipic dog which dove on the fruit hungrily and promptly began choking and gagging, before stumbling a few paces to collapse.
"I am no fool, we will meet again and you lok up at me from your knees."

Ingwe saw the circling raven and knew he was with her. Springing from her seat she was moving before her body guard had even anticipated the attack. she flew at the first of her attackers, raking the mans face with her long talon like nails. he dropped his weapon in agony and rolling to her feet she scooped it up.
She spun quickly the speed of the turn startled the second man and as she came to rest in front of him she swung the sword with all her might and struck off his head.
Distantly inside her head she heard the impetuous women call for more gaurds, but without stopping Ingwe knelt before another gaurd and witha quick stabbing motion dealt a killing blow.

Out of knowhere it seemed, a huge guard the size of the fabled Goliath came out of the palace. He laughed at her feeble attempts to hurt him. Knocking her to the ground he let out a victorious snort. He picked her up and walked her over to a fire pit and hoisted her body high in the air. Preparing to drop her into the inferno. Nasar(in the raven form)swooped down and blinded the giant. Giving Ingwe her chance for escape

Seizing her chance, Ingwe ran for the exit, the golden doors open onto the hot sun. She heard the call for more gaurds and she felt as if her feet were aflame as she ran on the hot sand.
She stopped only when she had reached the saftey of an oasis. Drinking from the water there were a flock of scrawny sheep, she slumped down to rest in the shade of a tree, it was only then she realised she still had the dagger of the gaurd in her hand.

"These sheep are an offering highness." A voice sounded as a fire burst out of nowhere. Nasar materialized ans said, "Rest here my love, eat and rest they will not find you here. Then when you return to your kingdom, prepare for a battle, a battle for your life and your kingdom."

It was several days before she could muster the strength to return home. It was a long walk from the oasis to the city. but she made it her feet a little worse for wear.

As she returned home, she was glad to see her palace intact and her lady in waiting came running up and said "My lady, I am so glad to see you!" Turning to the royal guards she said "Quickly, come and move the queen to her throne room.!" Her guards picked her up and carried her to her throne. After she rested a bit, she sat up and when she heard Nasar's voice. "My love, we cannot waist another moment gather your forces, she is comming and we need to prepare." With that, Ingwe stood up and rang her bell frantically, as her mistress ran in she asked "What's wrong my lady?"

"There is a great army moving from the east, it will arrive within a week we must be prepared." she said her voice strong no, the rest had done her good.
"But my lady we have heard no word from the scouts..." her advisors started but she cut in.
"Assume they are either dead or defected. We must be ready I want every man and women capable of holding a sword ready to fight, even thouse without swords can still die upon them." she said in response to the look on her advisors face.
She turned to the priest Mearan "Send word to the tmeple of Seth at Karnack, Sacrifice 2 pure unblemished white bullocks to the lord Seth, we need him in thie our hour of greatest need."

Nasar went to the temple of Osiris and took a meeting with him. "My lord," he began, "A great war is about to erupt and in my non-coporial state, I cannot hepl Ingwe the way I wish. Now I come to redeem my vow from you to make me mortal again and allow me to fight the wicked along side Egypt's greatest queen." Suddenly a rumble shook under Nasar's feet as he heared the voice of the god of the dead. "Humble subject Nasar, you gave your life to protect her and by doing so you died a heroe's death and now you wish to do so again? I cannot grant such a request..." Nasar broke in begging Osiris to reconsider only being cut off by the god of the dead's tremedous voice "SILENCE! Now, I cannot grant your request uless you understand if you die in vain or if she dies in vain you will be sent into oblivion. It would be as if you never existed at all. And if she lives on, and you do not, only she will know what truley happened to you." Looking at Nasar, he held his sceptor outward towards him and asked "Do you accept?" Kneeling down and bowing his head, Nasar stood up and said "Yes my lord she is worht dying a thousand deaths I accept." Osiris nodded and touched Nasar's head with the sceptor and a rush of light and power ran through Nasar's body as his soul was returned to him. "Now leave and remember your vow." Osiris said. "I will my lord." Nasar said nobely. He turned to go and as he left the temple, he felt the breeze for the first time in a long time. Smiling, he closed his eyes and had a vision of Ingwe fighting off invading forces. "My queen! I'm coming!" He said as he ran towards the fortress. '

Ingwe moved a small model of the army a little closer to the palace, the attack would come to them there she was certain of it. She barked orders to her generals and told them to put the old, young or sick under the palace in the deep catacombs designed for royal protection.
"My lady you must go below too!" her bodygaurd started
"No I will fight, we must fight!" she answered softly searching the sky for the golden raven, her heart sinking as she didn't see it. It had been painfully absent for some time.
a long horn sounded in the distance, "They are comng!" she called and she rushed to retrieve her sword.
"Archers to the walls, to the walls" she shouted running out of the war room to join her men on the high alabaster parapets along the roof.

As the enemie were making their way over to the castle on of them was taking aim with his long bow. Drawing back the string, he fell off his horse, with an arrow lodged in his chest. Ingwe looked for the archer and was stunned to see Nasar standing behind her with a smile, "My lady fight to the death." Taking aim he killed two more and the the really astonishing thing was they were eighty yards away. As they drew closer the other archers joined in and started killing the on comers. Ingwe started shooting as well and the number of the imposing forces were starting to dwendle.

"It is good to have you back" she smiled at him, happier tha she had been for some time, now at least she felt they had a chance at winning, but something in his eyes told her something was wrong.
"What is it, what is wrong?" she asked suddenly frightened for him,
